Our experience staying at the Leta by Hilton was very pleasant and overall a good experience especially for my toddlers and us. The pool facilities and admin staff was wonderful, the only grouse is we asked Ms. Sakina in the management staff to ask the rooms to be cleaned on two separate occasions during our 5 day stay, and no action was undertaken. We had a wonderful new year celebration and a great Trivia night. Overall thoroughly enjoyable.

This is our favorite hotel to stay when visiting UCSB - nice people, good bar and restaurant, comfortable and clean rooms. Lovely place :)

We love this little spot. We always travel with our family and dogs, and the Leta is welcoming, convenient, and charming. It has a relaxed, pleasant vibe and way more character than nearby chain hotels. It's a great location for parents and students visiting UCSB as well. The pool is warm and nice. The food is good. It has a nice bar and fire pits. We will be back!

We love staying at The Leta. It’s a great, comfortable and clean place to stay when we visit our daughter at UCSB. The staff is always friendly. The rooms are very cozy and comfortable, and we love the restaurant too. It’s our home away from home every time we’re in Santa Barbara!

Liked the hotel except kids at the pool were very loud at night. Pool should close earlier. Everything else good - liked the room and location. Just don’t forget to take your things from the safe when you leave. We did and it took a whole day on the phone to arrange return shipment.

This hotel is definitely an older hotel but it is part of the charm. You feel like you’ve stepped back into the 60s with some of the hotel lobby decor. I do think our room was rushed in the cleaning as the bathroom rug was dirty along with the drawers. It could also really use a little table to sit at as there was space and would be more comfortable than eating take out on the bed. I enjoyed its charm.

Nothing. The loud patrons that had screaming kids on the lawn near pool for 4 hours. We complained but nothing was done about it. We will not stay here again. That coupled with thin walls lack of privacy and slow bathroom drains. Not our cup of tea at all.

I've stayed here before like a couple years ago. It was amazing. I loved their style. I checked in here this time and oh my God its been a nightmare. First thing I noticed when I checked in to our room: I saw a long black stringy hair by the sink and some other hairs in the sink. Its like did they even clean the bathroom? Anyways. I was like its not worth going and complaining to the front desk. Well i went to bed. This morning, i was awoken by a man moaning so loudly at 6am. He sounded like an elephant. I went to the desk at 6 am to complain. I told her our room faces the street so we've also been hearing cars all night. She's like well i can put you in the room right next to yours when they check out today. I told her i cannot go back sleep due to the noises right now. She offered no solution. Not a refund or an upgrade or a room change or anything. She said i need to wait till 8:30 or 9 am for the manager to come. Well it's now 7:30 am and I still haven't been able to sleep. The moaning and talking from our conjoined room stopped. Now I'm hearing a kid screaming. Not sure if that's downstairs or where it's coming from. Around 9 am, I contacted Expedia and they were able to contact the property to refund my next night so that I didn’t have to stay there for another night and I was able to check out early. What a freaking nightmare.. I went to a courtyard Marriott nearby and it was so much better.

The room was a bit beat up. The bathroom fixtures were rusty, the paint not as fresh as it could be, and the floors had visible damage. The bed was very comfortable though.

This place is retro but nice enough for a quick getaway. The location is pretty good although not near downtown State St. The restaurant looked nice but seemed a little expensive. Great coffee served every morning. Bed was comfortable but the shower tiles were cracked and the configuration made it impossible to not get the floor wet. The water pressure was limited and made it challenging to rinse shampoo out of our hair. Service was good but I almost got knocked down the stairs by a box of trash as a housekeeper lost his grip on it while descending behind me. I told the manager but he didn’t seem too concerned about it. The pool area was nice and looked clean. Overall, a decent place to stay in the area near ucsb.
