The stay was nice.

The stay was very nice. Quick and friendly check in. Gave us first floor room as requested. The room was fine except the AC/Heat was rather weird. Heat would come on and then blow cold. We did not try the breakfast. We would stay here again.

STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Here’s a rewritten version suitable for Hotels.com review standards: --- I had a very disappointing experience at the Emerson Inn in Jacksonville. Upon arriving late for check-in due to a family emergency—a death in my family—I was met with unprofessional and disrespectful behavior from a staff member (possibly the owner). The staff member was visibly frustrated, shaking his head in his hands, and even raised his voice at me. He also claimed there was no room available and attempted to sell my reservation to someone else. This was incredibly upsetting given the circumstances, and I felt humiliated and unwelcome throughout the interaction. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. If you’re considering staying here, I suggest looking elsewhere for a more accommodating and professional experience.

Property was older and needed a little fixing but we were only staying one night passing through and it was clean and comfortable. Front desk staff was very nice. No complaints!

The night clerk was very helpful. He was able to provide me and my friend a downstairs room with 2 beds. It was an older room. It was nonsmoking, but had a faint smell of smoke. It wasn’t enough to keep either of us from sleeping after the TransSiberian Orchestra Concert. The price was right.
