The grounds of the facility were pleasant and enjoyable offering both seaside and poolside relaxation options. Staff were pleasant but performance was average to below average with the exception of the Concierge services which were helpful and pleasant. Our first day required a shower repair in our room (you find that out once you step into the shower), the second day there were pieces of broken glass found in our room, the third day as we prepared for a dinner outing we waited one hour to receive washcloths that had not been replaced during room service (we used hand towels instead), the third and fourth days our car was "cited" for not having a parking permit which we had from day one (to the tune of either $48/day or $$23/day never figured out which was which). It was a series of little things that quickly added up still we made the best of our stay. What may be helpful to know is there are over $100 dollars of fees and taxes added to your base price (which increases if your stay includes over the weekend) I would have preferred to discuss this with management but they were not available when we checked out.

Beautiful place with lots of amenities and very friendly staff. We rented bikes and it's about a 15 minute bike into downtown or over to the partner beach club.

This is the good, the bad, and the ugly. This review would be 5 stars but two things get my goat. First, the ugly... the HIDDEN PER DAY COST of forced vallet parking. THERE IS NO OTHER OPTION FOR PARKING AT THE FACILITY! Anything parking nearby is in tow-away zones. We flew in so didn't have a car, but rented scooters. They even wanted to charge for parking our scooters. We never parked the scooters there, but still had to have the vallet parking deducted from our bill on check-out. Deduct one star The Bad... HIDDEN "RESORT FEE." This is becomming more common and this charge was higher than most. They force you to bite the bullit upon arrival. We were there when the town was full and had no place else to go. I deduct one star from any place that follows this practice. The Good... Magnificent, well maintained and beautiful grounds... Great curteous and accomodating staff... The room was spaceous with great linens, very clean and well stocked in-room bar if you wanted to pay for it. Free daytime transportation to "Old Town" and Smathers Beach. Not likely to stay there again because of the practice of hidden costs.

It felt like you’re staying at a luxury resort. Bathroom soap / shampoo / body lotion etc were high end l'occitane brand. Lots of trees/plants around. You get complimentary drink coupons upon arrival. We will be back again.
