Fall trip to the beach
Property was clean and in a quiet area. Gated front yard is perfect for the pups. Beach access is close, however the stairs at Olivia beach are quite the climb (even for the Oregon coast). Half a mile in either direction is some parking and easier access.

The house was very cute and had enough bedrooms and bathrooms for our entire family, The room was tight on the main floor and the family room couch was on the small side and “ limp” which made movie watching together uncomfortable. All four bathrooms were very clean but the rugs and carpets were very stained and dirty- in need of serious shampooing! Fenced front yard and hot tub were a nice extra, Bring your own hand soap and dish washer detergent- none was not stocked when we arrived. We will continue our quest for the perfect ( for our family) rental house for next year…

The property was lovely but someone entered the property at some point and left behind pants on a dresser. The property was locked and they were not there when we arrived. Nothing was missing but it was very disturbing, if I had been alone I would have left immediately!

Parking is tricky
The neighbors don't like street parking. Maximum three cars in the driveway. Additional parking available two blocks down. House was nice and clean, but smaller than the photos indicate. Microwave turntable does not work It was nice to have plenty of towels, soaps, and detergents.

The place was very cute. My friends and I enjoyed staying here. Just wished we could’ve stayed longer. The master shower tiles need to be regrouted or cleaned. It was very moldy. Other then that, everything else was great.

Comfy Cottage But Needs Maintenance
This is a comfy cottage that needs some maintenace. I had stayed at Storybrook Cottage a couple of weeks before and enjoyed my stay except for the little ants that were in the kitchen and made it impossible to leave anything out for even a short time. Before rebooking I asked about the status of getting rid of the ants and was told there was a work order on it and it had been handled. When I moved in, the ants immediately reappeared. In greater numbers it seemed. They even crawled into a cabinet where i stored food and I had to move it to the fridge or the microwave. They got into a newly purchased $50.00 bag of special diet dog food, even though I had pressed the seal tightly. It had to be thrown away. An exterminator needs to be hired to tackle the ant issue. Local sprays are not doing the job, although several cans were in evidence. I did not call in the issue as I had my dog with me and neither him nor I needed exposure to bug sprays/treatment. The other issues are minor -- outdoor lights burned out, the microwave clanking and a need for fresh paint I hate to write bad comments in a review, but the ants made for a less than ideal stay.

Comfy Cottage
The bones of this cottage are great but it is heavily booked and needs a week or so of downtime for painting, deep cleaning and to get rid of the horrid ants in the kitchen. The kitchen utensils, pots etc need a good going over and the crummy things replaced. The neighborhood is transitional from lovely new or updated places to dilapidated ild beach cottages Still I enjoyed my short week’s sray.

Horrible, dirty, infested with ants .
the sheets were dirty with blood and hair, black mold in the shower, ants everywhere! I messaged the property manager we will see if they compensate us fairly then I may change the rating. There were also poisonous ant traps set out and poisonous mushrooms in the unkempt yard. So disappointing and scary!

Cozy house for a small group
This house was great for a small group, it says it sleeps 10 however, I wouldn't recommend that many in this house it is too small. The driveway is VERY small and narrow, and there is no parking on the street side so it was pretty difficult load and unload. The yard was much smaller than it appears as well. We loved all the jacuzzi tubs they were great to sit in after cold beach walks. Would have been nice if there were more information on exactly where the beach access was but we figured it out. The ping pong table was broken as well. All in all it was nice house but it was a little too close quarters for what we are used to, especially outside there was no privacy from all the neighbors, but loved the proximity to the beach.

Recommend!
When I first walked in, I fell in love and to be honest, the pictures don’t do justice! Totally worth the money and had little to no hassle staying there. Everything was clean and the hot tub was amazing. The only things I would say that could be better is the lack amount of kitchen ware made a a little tough to cook. there was also some ants in the master bathroom. I don’t know if there were dryer sheets but I couldn’t find any. The location is safe and beautiful and small walk to the beach. I will say that the stairs are a little lengthy and could bother some people but didn’t for me. The biggest con was the front door. Like the key worked but it would take it a few try’s to get the door open. Other than that beautiful place and plenty of entertainment. I’d give this place 8.25/10

Nice layout of the house but several issues
There was an ant problem even though we had read the reviews and checked prior to arrival about the ant problem and we were told the house was sprayed and traps were placed... well there was ants everywhere and they attacked any and all food we dared place on the counter. We had to throw away some food unfortunately. The kitchen was not well stocked. We were given only 4 dishwasher pods for our entire stay of 4 days. The cabinet door almost fell off the hinge, luckily we had a screwdriver to screw it back in place. The top bunk bed was not made; no sheets or blankets. We had to hunt down the items to make the bed. The hot tub was on when we arrived but the knob does not work so we couldn’t adjust it at all and could not turn it off. Overall, we love the layout of the house. We just wish it was cleaner, better stocked so we didn’t have to run to the store several times to buy paper towels, dishwashing pods, etc., and wished the things in the house I mentioned weren’t broken.

Great house for a quiet beach vacation
This house would be suitable for a full family and then some, but it was just my husband, my dog, and me. Really nice place, and a great location - not too far from the beach and restaurants. (There seems to be an ant problem which I know is common on the west side of the state. It didn’t ruin our stay, but it feels like something to note for visitors)

Storybook stay in Nelscott
We arrived late in the evening in the rain. The cute home was easy to find and access was made easy. The home was clean, pleasant and very inviting. We headed immediately to the hot tub which was fantastic, even though you have to walk through the cold garage. Overall, the stay was great. Our kids enjoyed the 3 different levels of the home and different kid areas. Olivia beach is charming and is such a pleasure to walk around in. Beach access was down a somewhat challenging set of stairs. I mean a lot of stairs. Which we loved, but some who have difficulty may not. The beach was not crowded ( February) and felt private. Clean, quiet, comfortable, charming, cozy and felt like home.

We had a nice stay in this cute cottage with plenty of room for the boys to hang out upstairs. This is a great location, close to the highway yet quiet. We enjoyed our visit to the coast!
