This is a lovely, well maintained property. The staff were all amazing. We checked in the night before a major snow hit Lorton, but the front desk handled the surge of folks checking in with poise and professionalism. The rooms are spacious and well designed for travelers. The hot breakfast the next morning was fabulous. This property deserves all of the five stars I gave it.

Snow removal after a winter storm was awful. Parking lot full of ice and snow a day later, as well as the sidewalks. Treacherous, especially for older people using the auto train.

After a cancelled flight and traveling all day we came in around 1:00am hoping to get a few hours of sleep before driving another 3 hours home. Check in was slow and then same staff person knocked on our door saying they didn’t know we were in that room. An hour or so later there was a phone call and then at 6:30 am another call saying they forget to get our cc for incidentals. The 6 hours we had to sleep was interrupted 3 times. Horrible. Silver lining was Lisa who took our concerns seriously and offered us compensation. She was amazing. I think the other staff person won’t be there much longer but Lisa’s future is bright.

The beds are sink-in fantastic! Almost as good as my Tempurpedic. It’s a very nice hotel with spacious rooms. Microwave, fridge, Keurig machine. I’d give 5 stars but we didn’t notice until we were all getting showered (4 of us with reservations more than 6 months) that we were only given towel service for 2 with a 3rd bath towel. Made me wonder if the cleaning/disinfecting was 100%. However, they happily answered our request for a noon checkout. We most always stay here to take the Autotrain the next day. Several cute little restaurants within 1 minute walk.
