Good location just off the motorway. Needed a fridge to store some medication and contacted the hotel in advance. They arrange for one to be placed in the room for me. Excellent customer service. Had dinner in the hotel. Good quality food and service but thought 20% service charge was a bit steep.

Beautifully aesthetic but let down by poor service
I've stayed here several times, and it is a gorgeous hotel and, beautifully designed but, the service and attention to detail is seriously lacking. The first room I was given - the heating/air con and the USB sockets by the bed didn't work, The second room - the heating/air con worked, but the USB sockets didn't - I checked in the car and with my portable charger that it wasn't my cables. My room was partially serviced the 1st day, and not serviced at all the 2nd day. I had to phone to ask for it to be done - which the Housekeeping Manager rectified and handled brilliantly. The food is good, but the soup was the same flavour reheated soup for the 3 nights in a row that I was there, which given the price of it, was disappointing. Every time I have stayed here, the staff have been nice, but their attention to detail is missing. They don't have a personal touch at all. It's little things, but it all makes a difference.

Premium Quality for Premium Price
Staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help us both on arrival at the hotel and when celebrating my wife’s birthday in the restaurant. The waiting staff especially were wonderful. The room itself definitely felt premium based on the quality of furniture and fittings, though breakfast being an extra £19pp per day was a little steep. Otherwise, it the cost felt appropriate for the quality of room and food served in the restaurant. Only minor gripe is that there was no information pack or leaflet in the room with things like a room service menu or how to use the air on and Sky Pin. Might just have been unlucky that they had ran out when prepping the room.

Fabulous Hotel - Some Attention To Detail Needed
The hotel is lovely, a modern take on traditional styling. The food was amazing and the choices good, with some interesting dishes. My room was good but what would have been even better is if the housekeeping took time to notice areas needing attention; my cups weren't clean, I had to ask for conditioner at the desk, even though my colleague had some in her room, I used the shower cap and left it on the side - it was removed during cleaning and another one not left, so I struggled to shower without getting my hair wet. It's always the little things!
