Weekend Stay in December
Overall my stay was good. I was taken back by how small a queen deluxe bathroom is but I made it work. My room was cleaned the first day but the 2nd day, I had to go to the front desk to ask if my room would be cleaned—they put in a request at that moment and my room still wasn’t cleaned. I was brought fresh towels but my bed was just “straightened” The room service tray with leftovers was still outside my room on the floor that night. The room itself smelled a bit old but I knew that would be the case with an older hotel. The room doors slam shut so I could hear my neighbors come in/out at any time. Walls are also a bit thin. Overall it’s a beautiful historic hotel that’s convenient to visit New Orleans French Quarter.

Beautiful property.... we've stayed there many times in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s but they've gotten very expensive for what you get. We were going to stay 3 days but decided to go somewhere else after one night.

We had a king balcony room - the carpet in the room was sticky with obvious large stains - - fingerprints on door jams - the tub filled up with water past my ankles when I showered - Just rather shabby . Just as a weird aside - at 4 AM the courthouse scaffolding across the street was covered with crows ( yes the big black bird) - their “ cawing “ was so loud it woke us up ! Not the hotel’s fault , certainly .. The lobby was very pretty - very classy And Staff was very nice at check in

Great location but dated and huge plumbing issues
Location was great, bell staff was friendly and helpful, check in was easy and front desk clerk gave me an upgrade. However the rooms are dated and dirty. Curtains in my room (354) were torn to shreds. Tub leaked continuously and wouldn’t fully convert to a shower so the water pressure was horrible. Spoke to front desk but nothing changed throughout our 4 night stay. We were a group of friends in 5 different rooms and 3 rooms had significant plumbing issues. This is clearly a bigger issue and, while I understand that the building is old, running water is pretty fundamental.

The hotel is beautiful! The surrounding area had a lot of construction and road work going on. The mayor should have had this work done to get ready for Super Bowl during the off season and not during the busy season. Poor timing for the city.
