Great place to stay near the Central Business District. Besides being across the street from the National WW2 Museum, there were several restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. We liked the art deco architecture and WW2 decor within the hotel.
Very nice hotel. Front desk staff were NEVER friendly or inviting. Terrence the concierge was absolutely AMAZING!! My gosh he was THE BEST. HE should be greeting everyone as they enter the lobby. I just can’t imagine why the front desk staff are SO unfriendly. It truly puzzles me. Well, thank you Terrence for making a difference in our trip. We truly thank you!!!!
The Higgins Hotel decor takes you back in time of what you would expect to see in an upscale hotel during the late 30s and 40s plus a patriotic atmosphere of the time to include photos and other items from that era. The Overlord conference room was just incredible. I highly recommend this wonderful Hotel that is dedicated to the "Greatest Generation" their courage and monumental achievements.
Nice, safe part of town with such easy access to the WW2 museum. Everything about this hotel was fantastic - rooms, decorations, staff, food. Very vintage and classic.
It would have been a more pleasant check in if the clerks weren't discussing their private lives as if I wasn't there.
I felt like I was at Costco. Also, the property does not offer bathroom extras like bar soap, lotion or shower caps.
I saw nothing as far as recycling plastic containers. It's a fairly new property, so it was clean. Employees were nice.
wish they had valet and we had to ask for help with our bags .and it’s been a week and my deposit isn’t back yet but love the hotel

I never ever complain. But it was expensive and not worth it. Stayed because wanted to stay in Warehouse district. For price I could have stayed at Windsor Court. Beware after 7 there is no bellman and no valet parking. I arrived around 830 they wanted me to park my car at the ww2 museum parking lot at night. There was no one in the security booth. I don’t know how an elderly guest would have been able to manage.
The lady at check in was not friendly at all. I was told someone could help me with the cart , for my luggage but girl at desk said no. I told her I had surgery for breast cancer and it was hard for me to pick up bag ect . Didn’t matter . The savior and only good thing was the new night manager who went outside and helped me on his first day. He was a guardian angel.
If it weren’t for him helping I think I would have walked out and gone somewhere else. Went upstairs to room. Toilet had black mold in it a ring. And the morning I had an event , the water maybe was operating at 25 percent with the shower capacity and it’d was freezing. I had to use a rag from the sink which had hot water. I was so disappointed because it was 4 star and new
We picked it because of museum across the street. But the decor was fantastic styling, Rosie’s rooftop bar was excellent at sunset, concierge on staff was a huge help in planning our activities. Great experience all around.
