Extremely dirty place with horrendous staffing and management. Line up always at the door and people don’t have keys to go to their room. False advertisement. Need to sue this place asps for fraudulent advertising.

The staff were nice and we were right next to the subway stop. However, it took 40 minutes to check in since when we arrived no one was at the front desk (another person had also been waiting even longer than us). The sheets were also dirty and we saw a bed bug. Definitely bring your own blanket if you get cold. They also didn't have soap in the bathroom to wash your hands and the showers were dirty.

Offered to stay in the lobby
they over booked so we were told to sleep in the lobby or go somewhere else at 1am. The lobby already had 3 people sleeping in it and it was a tiny closet like room. No refunds for their mistakes either

Chambre sale avec sacs de poubelle dans un coin laissée depuis X temps... sol plein de saletés et de poussière... Les fenêtres de notre chambre étaient cassées et on entendait le trafic comme si elles étaient grandes ouvertes... On a passé une nuit d'enfer à ne quasiment pas pouvoir fermé l'oeil. De plus, le système de carte électronique d'accès aux chambres ne fonctionnait pas (sûrement le cas depuis des mois mais ne prend pas la peine de le répéter). Nous ne pouvions donc pas quitter notre chambre sans que l'un de nous y soit encore, ou laisser la porte outreouverte le temps d'aller à la salle de bain; ce qui n'est pas du tout sécuritaire. Les salles de bain étaient tout aussi sales. On se doutait que l'hôtel était vieux, mais entre vieux et dégueulasse, il y a une limite... Les photos photoshopées de l'annonce sont mensongères. Ne vous y fier pas. De même que les avis qui disent "séjour excellent", qui sont sûrement des avis payés ou faux. Nous avons annulé le restant de notre séjour et attendons le remboursement. Un hôtel aussi sale ne devrait même pas pouvoir avoir d'annonce sur Expedia.

People have been a little hard on this place. Yes it is pretty low-end but does have the basics. They are right to say bring your own towel and blanket though. And soap for hand/shower

Dirty bathrooms, there were cockroaches in the bed, the bathroom windows were broken, the chair in the room was broken and the air conditioning did not cool, you could not sleep in the heat.

It's cheap so you get what you pay for. I don't mind lower quality accommodations so it didn't bother me, and I was prepared for the bad conditions. No air conditioning, you'll have to keep the window propped open with something and the street is loud that far downtown. Some small roaches in shared kitchen area so I didn't use it. No hand soap in bathroom, but I had hand sanitizer. Shower looked sketchy so I bathed in the sink. The hardest part was no phone at the front desk. I couldn't call from the airport to ask about the shuttle. It was advertised but not actually a thing anymore. They got rid of it a few years ago ("covid," but I doubt it.) The desk staff was just two random dudes on their phones hanging out, one counting a large amount of cash which felt a little weird. They were nice enough though. The maid was very nice despite the terrible state of the place, though I don't think it was his fault. He was doing his best. On the plus side, you're right next to a subway stop. So getting there from the airport wasn't too bad. It took about an hour.My train to the airport was canceled though, and when I finally got to the M60 bus stop it drove past me and opened its doors for two seconds way down the street then left. I had to pay $40 or $50 for an uber to get to the airport on time. So if you're not a local be prepared that the pubic transport isn't very reliable.

Worst accommudstion of my life.
The hostel was super ditry and bad smelling. Cockroaches running around everywhere. I wouldn't even stay there for free, but I must because I spent more than a 100$/night. They should close down the whole place. Everything was in terrible condition. The bedsheets had more hair on them than clean spots.

The people who run this place are nice enough but they need to do a far better job maintaining the place. They should make sure toilet paper and soap is stocked up in every bathroom, air blowers are functioning, and that the showers are consistently cleaned.

It's a place if you need a place in NYC, it is close to Central Park or opposite direction the river walk. Location is great. And close to a main artery Subway station. However lacking in areas. Smaller rooms, one of the toilets I had to beg to flush, cleaning staff may have been on vacay, it's an older building, the common area was, They do have a coffee machine, vending machine, a large shared refrigerator for food ( I didn't see anywhere to cook besides a microwave) a fun map with pushpins in it, and a community room futon. Price was excellent for NYC. I am glad it was available for me to book while in town.Thank You Central Park West Hostel.

Unfortunately the whole property is in very poor condition with unsanitary restrooms, dirty showers and the rooms themselves smell like urine with clearly used bed sheets. The description promised body wash etc., but not even soap was provided. Also the “air conditioning” can hardly be called that, it was hot the entire night. The common room was a mess too, with dirty furniture and trash laying around. Because of this situation I wasn’t able to sleep and checked out around 4 am. Sorry, but that’s a definite no for me.

The staff is helpful but the facilities are pretty bad the door lock system has only one key which is only accessible by the staff so you cant keep going and coming back to the room without being escorted by the staff member.
