The Hotel staff was super helpful, the room was kept immaculate, one hotel I didn't feel bad about walking barefoot on the floors. Great room, modern, comfortable bed, nice TV, hotel amenities were great, it was a refurbished 1920's hotel, awesome. They are in the process of remodeling the exterior which is a tiny bit inconvenient but understandable. We loved our stay there in Tampa, mainly due to this hotel. Thanks again.

Let me start by saying the interior of the hotel was beautiful, and the design was impressive. However, my experience was severely impacted by several issues that led to this low rating. First, upon arrival, I found it incredibly difficult to locate the entrance due to extensive construction on the exterior of the hotel—a situation I was not informed of beforehand. At check-in, I was required to pay a $30 per day fee for services like internet, two small bottles of water, and a shuttle service limited to a 3-mile radius. I politely declined but was told the fee was mandatory. Additionally, I had to pay a $100 per day incidental deposit, resulting in an unexpected extra $390 for my three-day stay. Things only worsened from there. After the first night, the hot water went out. When I spoke to the front desk, I was informed that 2 out of their 3 boilers were not working. To make matters worse, the ongoing construction noise was unbearable when I tried to rest in my room before dinner. Despite these issues, I still had to take a cold shower that evening. The next day, I decided to check out early because the situation had become intolerable. When I inquired about a refund for the unused night, I was told it wasn’t possible because my reservation was non-refundable. I was assured that my incidental deposit would be refunded within a week.

Beautiful hotel. Went during Christmas time, fully decorated. Bed was so comfortable and bathroom was super clean. Restaurant is nice. Walkable from main part of downtown Tampa.

This was a nice hotel. The staff was friendly. I wish they had better accommodations for parking. 40 a day for valet that we didn’t use much was a little steep. Overall I had a nice experience.

Good service eclipsed by a bad experience
The hotel is a hidden gem within Tampa’s Downtown. The service is high quality. However, the experience was damaged by an alleged false evacuation event that happened in the middle of the night. The downside was that, although it may have been a mistake (which happens anywhere), no incentives were offered to cover the disturbance at 3 am nor any explanations were given as to why the alarm had gone off. The hotel is a beautiful and careful mix between classic and modern design. The only thing is that it is going through outside remodeling and the construction gear covers the facade. I give 3 out of 5 due to the event, but it was definitely good in terms of service and customer service, until the false alarm.

I have stayed at this property a couple of times while it's been under construction. I have never had an issue until this stay. I would never come back. First, the parking was horrible. After a long drive, I arrived around 8 PM and there was a long line for parking/valet. The staff was very nice, however said people were honking their horns because of the long line and the line into traffic. After finally parking and checking in to my room, I went to take a shower and there were several curly, short dark hairs all in the shower (I have long, blonde hair) and it was clearly never cleaned. I called the front desk to make them aware, however was on hold for an extended time, therefore had to hang up. I was able to notify the room cleaner the next day, who saw the uncleanliness and cleaned the shower. I took another shower and this time the water was COLD and there was no pressure! It was one of the worst showers I've ever had. In addition, I went to dinner at the Dan and ordered the burrata. It was such a disappointment. It only had one SMALL piece of burrata. I have had dinner here in the past and ordered the burrata and it came with several pieces of burrata. I was looking forward to this meal, however another disappointment. I will never stay here again - it seems something happened with management and staff.
