This hotel gets worst by the day. First the blinds are broken, cannot close, no privacy, felt unsafe on ground floor. Changed to a 2nd room, same thing, blinds broken, changed room for the 3rd time, same thing, blinds are broken, staffs said they can’t fix them, perhaps Canada doesn’t have a Home Depot ??? Inexcusable… no privacy, room gets bright in the late morning but sometimes we wanted to sleep in late from going out to see the aurora till past 3am… front staffs are unfriendly, unwelcoming, called front desk to enquirer about making dinner reservations, front desk said they are busy but would call back, you guessed it right, they didn’t call back. On Christmas Day front desk said no room service, no new towels, no toilet paper, no making bed or removing used towels and trash, front deck because it was a holiday, that was why we came because we could take off from work because it was a holiday, that was why hotel rates are higher during holidays. We travel internationally often every year, been to dozens of countries, not a single hotel that said they provide no service on holidays but yet they charge hotel guests full price or holiday rates. If you don’t want a bad vacation experience, this is one hotel that every traveler needs to avoid. We have our own rental car, if we were to depend on airport pickup and drop off, we would be in serious trouble. Our plane was delayed, messaged the hotel ahead of time, you guessed it right again, no pick up… DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

The hair dryer was broken and I called the front desk to repair it. I waited several hours but still nobody came. I called again to ask for a new hair dryer but unfortunately they had none. It was extremely code outside and I have booked events, I cannot get out with wet hair. Besides, I asked for additional shampoo because I stayed for 3 nights but they only gave 1 day supply. No body actually came while they said they will come shortly. Eventually I walked to front desk to get those extras.

What we come to expect from Nova
Beautiful newer property in Yellowknife has all the amenities of a big City hotel. YK is a winter City and this property embraces this simple fact. Rooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable.

Great hotel but worst restaurant we ever had
The hotel is great. But the restaurant is the worst we have ever experienced. Every dish is terrible. Not only taste is bad, some dish severed cold. We have to wait for almost an hour to get the food.
