weekend visit

Pros: cleanleness, location
Cons: nothing really
Location: location was great, not to far walking to all the main attractions especially the old town and main shopping area. Will use again when back in Antwer

Comfortable hotel in Antwerp centre

Very nice hotel, big room, comfortable bed. Free wifi internet in the room. Great buffet breakfast and they do change some selection everyday. Very friendly staff and helpful. The hotel is only 10 mins walk from Antwerp central station and 5 mins from shopping centre, perfect location for historic area (10 mins walk ) close to Theater and museum. Lots of restaurant nearby and everything is within a short walk. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The only weakness is that there is no spa, no swimming pool or fitness , which is not very common in a 4 star hotel. Otherwise it is perfect.

Die Lage des Hotels ist spitze, nahe am Zentrum und ebenso nahe am angesagten Zuid-Viertel. Das Personal war überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und gross, mit einer zweckmässigen Einrichtung. Das Frühstücksbüffet war reichhaltig. Empfehlenswert!

Keskeinen sijainti, OK hotelli, isot huoneet

Pros: Keskeinen sijainti, isot huoneet, mainio aamiainen.
Cons: Valaistus!
Location: Sijainti Antwerpenin ydinkeskustassa, jossa ravintolat, ooppera- ja konserttitalot, kauppakadut ja rautatieasema - kaikkialle kävelyetäisyys.
Ensimmäinen kerta Antwerpenissa. Hotellin sijainti loistava. Hotelli muuten OK, mutta huoneemme (non smoking) todella ikävästi hotellin 2 kerroksessa, ikkuna parkkipaikalle (josta alkuyön meteli autojen ajaessa pois). Erittäin ikävä näkymä, ei minkäänlaista fiilistä hienoista kaupunkinäkymistä. Hotellin luokitus kumminkin 4 tähteä. Takapihafiilis masensi, ja huone tuntui tunkkaiselta sijaintinsa vuoksi. Rauhallisuus ja non-smoking toive näyttää usein matkoillamme johtavan juuri tällaiseen "syrjintään". Toinen tyypillinen ongelma lähes kaikkialla on kylpyhuoneen ja muu valaistus meikkaavan matkustajan näkökulmasta. Kylppärissä, jossa valaistus vain korkean huoneen katosta, oli mahdoton tehdä edes tavallista arkimeikkiään. Kylpyhuone oli muuten varsin hyvässä kunnossa - ei niin kauan sitten remontoitu. Valaistusongelma koski myös huoneen valaistusta. Pelastuksena toimi huoneen iso ikkuna, josta nyt keväällä päivänvalo. Myös pimennysverhot olivat toimivat, kiitos! Milloinkahan valaistussuunnitteluun aletaan panostaa, jotta naismatkustajien ja muiden ehostuksestaan huolehtivien tarpeet olisi otettu huomioon!

Gut gelegenes mittelklasse Hotel

Pros: Frühstück und Lage
Location: Fünf Minuten vom Zentrum
Antwerpen ist eine varianten reiche Stadt. Von architektonisch altem bis aussergewönlichen neuem, ist alles vorhanden. Eine Woche aufenthalt und es ist keine Langeweile aufgekommen.
