The only positive is how close you are to the Mt. Rainier entrance. The bedding was dirty, had period blood, mattress looked like it was passed down from WWI. WiFi was awful. The TV remote had a mind of its own. The other positive is that this is the perfect place for watching horror films.
This was an okay at best property, the property was very dirty with broken window shades, bath tub was unsafe and crackling with every movement and spider webs everywhere inside the hotel room. The owners room was directly above ours and they woke up at 5am and were stomping around for hours not letting us sleep
We wanted a getaway where we could be unplugged in nature and that’s exactly what we got with this cabin! We had a great time gathered around the fireplace with our family telling stories and talking. We fell asleep to the sound of rain and a crackling fire, so relaxing. If you’re looking for a place where you can stare at a screen, this probably is not the place for you.. the WiFi didn’t reach us and we couldn’t get phone signal or data in the area. For us, that was perfect. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The staff were friendly and the area was gorgeous. It was so nice being mere footsteps from the national park, it made for a wonderful morning walk to start the day. Would absolutely stay here again if we found ourselves in the area!

Gateway was a huge disappointment.
Gateway Inn is very close to the entrance to Mt Rainier National Park. The room/cabin was not clean or comfortable and I cannot recommend it to other guests.

Disliked: Amenities
Room was cooked up outdated and not what I expected from pictures on line not worth the$$$ they charged
Best part is location--just outside Rainier entrance. Very tiny room/cottage (though quite clean). Our cottage was on the main road, so road noise until very late at night. Overpriced for the size and accommodations.
No tv reception and if is working off after 5 minutes, hot water for shower, very little:(
Windows dont lock,.and no screens. Mold and mushrooms growing around bathroom door jamb. Mattress is older than my father, and just as lumppy. Very conveint to park entrance is only plus
Really enjoyed the cute cabin and that it was right outside Mount Rainier state park. A plus is our cabin had a smart TV so we could watch YouTube and Netflix.

Historic log cabin
It was a log cabin, historic. Good bed
Just outside park, you could walk into the park. Location, location
Amenities listed on the website were mostly nonexistent. There were no utensils or cookware in the cabin, except for a dirty pot. There was poor lighting, with a burned out light bulb. The WiFi didn’t work. This room would have been fine at half the cost.

The location is great. The beds were comfy. Not enough lights in the room, wish it can be added more lights. The one we stayed had no AC, the first a couple nights were ok but it was too hot for sleeping on the last night in August. Overall it’s a cute and nice cottage.

Motel is just outside the entrance of the mount rainier.it was perfect for us to enter the park in the morning before 7am since we did not get entry ticket that day .
This property is in bad shape- at least room 17. The bathroom is in the same room as the kitchen area. The carpet is extremely dirty and old. Beds are old, sag and uncomfortable. For the amount they charge each night, they should easily be able to make some updates and repairs to the room. Very disappointed with our choice and wish I had driven closer forward Seattle.
A bit rustic, but had motel did have everything essential. Water pressure was weak, though. Service was helpful and friendly but front office closed down too early. Cabin was clean. RVs right on top of us, things seemed a bit overcrowded, but fine for a two night stay.
