Hello and thank you for your review on our Hotel. We are situated on A1 south bound dual carriage way and we do not have any control over pedastrian crossings. On the other side of the dual carriage way is a BP garage but nothing else so there would be no reason why the local authority would put a crossing there as there is a BP garage next door to us and within a safe walking distance. Taxi service around this area of Hertfordshire again is out of our control. i can only opologise that you couldnt recieve a satifactory service from another local company. I am not aware of any on going problems with the reception service but i would appreciate more detail regarding your experiance so i can attempt to get it right for you. I am sorry that your bed was uncomfortable. did you speak to reception? we may of been able to relocate you to another room. Breakfast is complimenatary and only a basic continental style consisting of a few cereals, fresh toast,tea and coffee and juice. we believe our guests would want to start their day having something rather than nothing as we do not have a kitchen for hot food or a restaurant near by. The bread and milk are replaced daily including any other fresh products . And any fresh products left after breakfast is throiwn away and never kept. If I can help with anything else then please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss any other issues or concerns you may have. Kind Regards John
