Room was grubby. There’s some absolute basics for me and this place doesn’t have them unfortunately. 1. The bath was dirty with ground in stains and a few random dark hairs thrown in for good measure. 2 the shower curtain had a delightful couple of inches of orangey pink bacteria at the bottom. 3. There’s one small hand towel and one bath towel. Seriously you would think by booking a “double” room you might assume 2 people and that would therefore mean sharing towels ? Even a Travelodge gives you a towel each. Outside the room the property is tired and grubby. The toilets we’re flooded, the bar took 30 minutes to get served. I wish I could have anything positive to say but afraid not. This place looks so beautiful from the outside, it’s so sad how bad it is on the inside

Disappointing:(

Small cramped rooms, outdated bathrooms, view onto a large brick wall, single glazing, noisy corridor, limited tea and coffee. All in all not what we were expecting for such a grand looking building from the exterior positioned perfectly in the town.
