Welcome to Honey Bear Cabin!

This fantastic 4BR/3.5BA log cabin in Valle Crucis has all of the amenities your family is looking for. Start things off with a 7-person hot tub, a wonderful wood-burning fire pit, foosball table, and smart TVs in every bedroom, where you can access Hulu live, Disney Plus, and ESPN! There is an authentic popcorn machine for movie nights with the family. Tons of board games, puzzles, crossword and Sudoku books, and much more are available. Your family definitely will not get bored at Honey Bear Cabin! Enjoy the views, nature, wildlife, and clean mountain breezes while lounging in the hammocks in the private backyard.

This 3-level log cabin has lots of covered and open-air outdoor living space with front, side, and rear porches and decks, a wonderful gas fire table, and plenty of room for outdoor dining. The hot tub is nestled in a private corner of the cabin on a covered deck.

The main-floor master suite has a king bed and private bathroom with a double granite vanity and an oversized garden tub with a shower. There are two more bedrooms downstairs, each with a queen bed and a private full bathroom. The loft bedroom has two (2) twins beds. The first-floor game room has a comfy pullout sleeper sofa for one or two more guests.

The kitchen comes fully stocked with all kinds of gadgets, including a Keurig coffee maker and a standard coffee maker.

Windows surround the dining room so your family can enjoy the mountain panorama while dining at a large, handmade, live-edged solid wood table that seats up to ten (10) people. The gas log fireplace is open to both the living room and the dining room.

The cabin also has central air conditioning for the occasional hot and humid summer days. Authentic handmade furniture and decor throughout aspire to give you a feeling of rustic elegance.

Honey Bear Cabin is peacefully tucked away on a quiet, wooded mountain property in Valle Crucis, yet is centrally located and convenient to Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, the Valle Crucis Park, and Grandfather Mountain. In the wintertime, it is convenient to Beech Mountain Ski Resort, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, and Hawksnest and Appalachian Ski Mountain.

Please Note: Due to the private location, this home has an exterior video camera facing the parking area and one near the side of the house to monitor wildlife. No cameras face toward any living areas.

Very remote

It is an absolutely beautiful property! Plenty of space inside and even more outside. It is a good 25 mins from groceries or activities. Blowing Rock has an amazing downtown area and that’s about 30 mins. You will need to bring all of your own household items (paper plates, sugar, coffee, condiments, garbage bags and I suggest towels and fire supplies as well). It’s not a quick trip to get anything so we ended up having to use instacart our first night as we weren’t comfortable going down the mountain in the dark yet. We did end up leaving early because of a winter storm on the way and early check out is only offered at a high price. We ended up paying for a day we couldn’t stay instead. The best parts are the fire pit and the hot tub, our family made so many memories there! I would recommend knowing all those things I just mentioned though!

Enjoyed our stay!

The property was nice and clean. Wasn’t as private as I was thinking. The kitchen was well stocked but it had a few things do need to be updated/replace. The fire pit with the swings was so cool! Everyone really enjoyed the swings! The beds were all comfortable and I was pleased to have all the bathrooms! Hot tub was very nice to relax in. The cabin was centrally located, so that was very convenient! We really enjoyed our stay and definitely will rebook next time!

Cozy Cabin

The cabin was in a beautiful location. Furnishings were in good condition and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and making smores in the firepit while using the swingset seats. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice place for a short vacation

Loved the privacy!

We loved how secluded this property was, and the size of the house was perfect. Easy to enjoy time with friends, but also easy to enjoy peace and quiet alone. Loved that the 3 main bedrooms all had their own private bathrooms. The drive up the hill was a little nerve wracking the first time, even in a 4 wheel drive truck.

Fun family weekend!

We had a wonderful weekend getaway at Honey Bear Cabin! It was a bit of an adventure getting up to the cabin at first, but once there, it’s fantastic! The cabin was exceptionally clean and very well stocked! Everything you could possibly need was there. The kids absolutely loved the game room and the firepit swings! Great family trip with little ones! The downstairs game room was a hit with the kids. We made s’mores by the fire pit and relaxed in the hammocks. Cabin is beautiful and clean. Perfect Vacation Spot

We have come to Boone and other mountain spots man times, but this was by far our favorite. Everything we needed. Beautiful place, easy fireplace, great weekend cooking out and watching football. Everything we needed and I haven’t even mentioned how nice the hot tub felt! Beautiful place and most importantly, thank you for your service to our country. We look forward to coming back soon!

Relaxing

Cabin was great, everyone enjoyed the hot tub, evenings around the fire pit was awesome. Getting to the cabin was not so great. A 15 minute drive from the main highway on a one way, washboard gravel road. I’m really not sure why someone would build such a lovely structure when the roads were so bad to get to it. We would not do it again for that reason. However, the cabin was amazing.
