Horrible, rude, not a nice experience
Service was rude and unhelpful, we booked the hotel specifically to use the pool. On arrival the pool was not open, but opened a couple hours later. It was not heated at all. We asked them to turn the heat on and they said they would. The kids had a horrible time. The next morning we asked again and we were told "it's room temperature", but even the pool room was only 65 degrees. On arrival, the heat in our rooms was not on, so the rooms were absolutely frozen. It took hours to warm them up. The towel rack fell partially off the wall in one room, and there were cobwebs on the lamp. The front desk staff was not helpful at all when we expressed any issues. The only good part of this hotel is the restaurant, good food, good prices and great service.

Only booked here for the pool - arrived and it is broken. Went to have a shower and the water cycles randomly between scalding and freezing. Moved to a new room, when the upstairs people shower it rains down in our room. Staff is friendly but building needs a lot of work.

We stayed here 2 years ago and it was great. This time the pool was unusable since there was no heat in the pool room. Water felt so cold, it was more like a cold plunge. A child tried to swim, but the water was so cold they crying. Breakfast used to be included, but now it isn't. Very poor lighting in the room - too dim to read. Our lamp was damaged. Too bad, we really enjoyed our stay last time. Next year we'll be going elsewhere.

Poor customer service and dishonest
My son and two young grandsons travelled 8 hours to visit for my Birthday and I booked the hotel because of the pool. We were not told the pool had a broken heater and the pool was so cold you could not swim. I went to desk to ask for refund so we could go to the Ramada in Belleville that had a pool and the girl was so rude and dishonest saying the manager is the only one that can do that and he won’t be in till Monday. I begged her to call him and she was on the phone with someone and came back and claimed I should email him and he will respond on Monday. This hotel has poor customer service and should have told us the pool was not working properly! I have called head office and a claim has been submitted. Hopefully they make this right for two little boys!

Unprofessional service
Everything was great except for the service. While we were trying to check in another person came in looking for where in the hotel a baby shower was being held. She butted in front of me to ask the desk clerk (while I was already being assisted with check in) so the desk clerk went to check with co workers to assist this person before completing my check in. It took a few minutes because nobody seemed to know about the location of the shower. While this only took about 5 minutes it was very unprofessional since she was already assisting me.

Impossible to have a good night's sleep
The last 3 times I have stayed at this hotel have disappointing. I have experienced the following 3 issues over the past 3 stays: 1) Fire alarm in my room started making a sound in the middle of the night. When I called reception no one answers, when I visited reception no one was even there, not even in the adjacent office. I was forced to pull the battery of the fire alarm in my room and next morning when I explained the issue instead of a sorry i was asked why I pulled the battery out. 2) After a long night of being sick, the shower didn't work in my room. After going to reception in the middle of the night, instead of just sending me to a different room right away, I was not believed and the person had to come with me to my room to see for themselves. I was then changed to another room all the way on the other side of the hotel. 3) I was woken up at 4am by two men who were pressure washing pieces of metal in the parking lot outside my window, they were clearly connected to the hotel because they were parked at the delivery door behind the hotel, which was next to my room. I have been travelling regularly to the area over the past 3 years for business and this hotel has just been getting worse and worse. However, because of company budget I must stay here sometimes.
