Welcoming, stylish hotel near the city centre

Welcoming, helpful staff all willing to go the extra mile to make your stay as nice as possible. Rooms were well designed to include everything required (plus some extra fun features, eg. a basketball hoop and soft ball which is my boyfriend quite amused...). Rooms and hotel were all spotless. Breakfast was the highlight for us, the large, delicious portions made for a brilliant start to the day! 100% would return and recommend!

A warm, quirky, Max Brown boutique hotel.

Pros: Great staff, great atmosphere, great location. A typical Max Brown hotel.
Cons: Add a bath tub!! More Max Brown hotels to stay in please
Location: Great location just off Kurfurstendamm (Kudamm) So much within walking distance - tour pick-ups, sights to see, shopping Great public transport too
Having stayed in the Max Brown Hotel in Amsterdam's canal district earlier this year, we jumped at the chance to stay in another Max Brown Hotel for our trip to Berlin. Even before our trip, Alexandra (Reservations) gave us great information on how to get to the hotel from the airport. On arrival, we were welcomed by Jan in reception - a warm and friendly guy, polite and professional, remembered our names and greeted us by name every time. Jan had great local knowledge - from good German restaurants and bars, tour and sightseeing tips etc. Breakfast in Benedict Restaurant was 'eggcellent' - all egg-based dishes, but lots of variety. Coffees and cocktails great any time of day. In-house bakery made great bread and pastries. Our Loft Room was spacious and comfy, and quirky in decor - we were not disappointed!! Only thing missing was a bath tub - my wife wanted a long soak after our six hour walking tour!!

Very convenient for visiting Berlin

Pros: Convenience to centre. Staff were excellent
Cons: A mini-bar in the room; more choice of drinks for making oneself.
Location: We wre able to walk to most of the major attractions; including Ka DeWe; Kurffurstendamm; Tiergarten, Brandenburg Tor; Reichstag; many museums etc.
Three nights with my 13 year old grandson. The hotel is very close to the centre of Berlin. Staff were friendly, very helpful and made us feel very welcome. Vegan breakfast was a pleasant surprise- as was the bakery attached to the hotel. I had to ask for a sachet of coffee (only tea provided with the kettle), but this was found with no problem. They looked after our cases the morning of our departure and ordered us a taxi to the airport. A mini-bar (i.e. fridge) would have been useful. The room was cleaned and tidied daily. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to a friend.
