Great location near Potsdamer Platz and virtually next door to underground station . I only gave it 4 stars because I thought it was a bit expensive . Maybe that’s the going rate though

The hostel is close to the train station and about 15 minutes from the Brandenburg gate and other tourist monuments. Good price, amazing breakfast, and comfortable rooms. I definitely recommend it. Ps.: something I forgot to mention in my first review is about air conditioning. I learned that AC is not a German thing so if you will be visiting in the summer your room could be a little warm even though they have AC in the rooms. My first stay was in room 7091 and it was warm at 21 degrees Celsius (69F) because the sun hit directly into the big windows. My second stay was in room 4033 (I believe ) and this time the temperature (21 Celsius) in the room was much better because the sun didn't hit directly into the room window. Even though I still recommend Scandic hotel if you are planning to visit Berlin.

Excellent hotel
Excellent hotel not far from the Potzdamer Platz railway station. Good size rooms, spotlessly clean and friendly and efficient staff. If we go back to Berlin we'll certainly try to book here again.

Very basic room amenities. Takes ages to check in. Parking is very limited. Room service you need to book else they don't come. Very basic bath amenities. Refrigerator are almost useless size to put anything from market. Bathroom doors always have gaps which is issue for bad smell and privacy. Area is very walkable from Postdamer platz which is real plus. Rooms are having good windows to get daytime light is also excellent. Beds are uncomfortable. Specially double beds are actually 2 single beds and mattresses which make very uncomfortable. Bed linnen also not cotton but poliester which made us wake up almost every few hours.

We booked two rooms for our family of 4, and at checkin they were able to accommodate adjoining/connecting rooms (though I wish this could've been confirmed at time of our booking and initial request). Rooms were clean and functional overall. A couple minor annoyances: - No outlet on one side of the bed (in one of the rooms), which meant we couldn't charge a phone/use as a clock there overnight - There is climate control panels in each room, but they didn't seem to allow the temp to be lowered much, but on the plus side the windows are operable and we could let in fresh evening air that way. - Lengthy line and time it took to check in - it was almost baffling how long it took. Things we really liked: - Easy access to two subway stations, and walkable to a bunch of interesting sites - Onsite breakfast was huge, with something for everyone, and even champagne! Kids loved it. True Scandinavian breakfast offering. - Spacious, functional rooms that were adjoining

A clean, stylish and well run hotel, suitable for family holidays or business. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and breakfast offer is great. Good value and very well positioned for transport, museums, eateries and local sights. Locale feels modern and safe.

Misleading Price and Room too warm
I appreciate the eco-friendly hotel. Hotel was clean and safe. But the room did not have sufficient AC. The AC is regulated by hotel and not per room. So I didn’t sleep well in a hot room. Also, I arrived before the 4 pm check in and was charged EUR 15. The hotel also charged me almost double the price that Hotels.com quoted for Saturday night stay.
