Indulge in that romantic escape or getaway with friends and make this cabin your home base for a little while in Big Bear. With rustic touches and warm wood accents, you'll feel like you're in your own private oasis while being mere minutes from all of the best attractions.

Cold winter nights will be well spent with a warm mug of hot cocoa by the wood stove. The chef of the group will love hopping into the full kitchen to prepare tasty, home-cooked meals. Come summer, you can step out onto the furnished deck and enjoy a cocktail in the fresh mountain air as you reminisce about the day's events. Entertainment won't be a problem when the stars come out either, as the flatscreen TV and free WiFi can facilitate movie nights with ease.

This location couldn't get any better when it comes to outdoor activity. The skiers of the group will be in paradise knowing that Bear Mountain Ski Resort and Big Bear Mountain Resort are both within two miles. If a leisurely hike or bike ride is on the agenda, walk two blocks to the Bristlecone Trail and enjoy the scenery that this area is known for. When the warmer times of year come around, Big Bear Lake is just three miles north, where you can spend a day boating, fishing, or swimming in beautiful blue water. Not to mention, Moonridge Coffee Company and Dank Donuts are within walking distance to fuel you up for a day on the slopes.

7 days at Bristlecone Cottage
The cottage was great, super quiet area! Upon checking we found the refrigerator to be non-functioning Vacasa sent a tech over with in 1 hour. The tech was unable to fix the issue. Ice was provided for the night, the next day a " Moster refrigerator was brought down from the owner room. The only issue my wife had was bed a little lumpy. The mud room is great good place to take a nap! Firewood was provided. Pots, pans, dishes, silverware, coffee pot, toaster, mircowave, stove all provided. However I would recommend you bring your own non-stick cook wear and paper plates depending your length of stay. I would Definitely stay here again!!! Vacasa did a GREAT job!

Cute + cozy, but not suitable for 4.
Very cute property, with a very nice location close to the mountain. I would stay here again, however the ad states it can sleep 4 and that is a huge exaggeration. Bedroom is great for 1-2, but small futon in the living room is the only other option and not suitable for 2. Suitable for no more than 3, and that is pushing it. Overall, very nice space though!

A nice cabin with a poor property managing company
This cabin has the perfect location for skiing. It is functional but is laking essential equipment like wine glasses... a large cutting board and a second trivet. The set of "green pan" in the kitchen is nice. The shower flow is very weak and the water not very warm, rinsing shampoo from my hair took forever. The main reason I gave a 4 instead of 5 stars rating is due to Vacasa (the property managing company) Of all the cabins I rented in Big Bear and Mammoth, this was the worst check-in experience. The cabin is located within walking distance of the Vacasa office, but they did not have the courtesy of turning up the thermostat before we arrived. The cabin was cold (38F) when we arrived, and no firewood was available in the cabin. Every cabin with a fire place or a wood stove that I ever rented always had firewood available inside the cabin. On the advertising website, the picture of the cabin even shows firewood...
