This building is very old and rundown. When we walked in, the living area was 80 degrees. There is no central AC, although there are vents and a thermostat, which did not work. There was only a monstrous "window/floor" unit in the bedroom that was hooked up to the outside with two huge clothes dryer vent tubes. We had to turn down the temp to 65 in order for the living room to be tolerable. We had an adult staying on the sofa bed and it was miserably hot for him, and freezing for us.
Secondly, there was no cable tv. This is unacceptable in 2024. They had a Roku I believe, but no major networks available.
The location was convenient for sightseeing and touring the historical parts of Boston. The unit was clean, and the bed was comfortable.
They need to fix the air conditioning system, and get rid of the huge thing in the bedroom, and figure out how to offer major networks to their guests, like all other hotels.I didn't feel like we got our moneys worth from this hotel.
