We were not impressed with the cleanliness of this property. There were obvious signs of wear, and the mattresses were in need of replacement. The cable boxes for the TV's were hanging down from behind the TV's and one of the remotes would not work the TV. We were missing a coffee pot for the coffee maker and utensils were minimal. Thankfully we brought some pans and utensils from home. The dryer would not dry our towels. We had to cycle them 4 times until we realized the dryer vent was kinked. we pulled the dryer out a foot and was able to dry clothes. I would recommend a little more time be spent between occupying the units on cleaning and maintenance to ensure the stay of every customer is convenient and free of headache.

Upon arrival the customer service experience was poor. Instead of a "enjoy your stay or let us know if you need anything" we were given a strict list of things that must be done prior to check out such as washing all the towels, dishes, sweeping, setting the temperature etc...then, we had to sign an agreement regarding property damage (which I completely understand) but when we got to our cottage there was a long list of damages. The blinds were snapped, maintenance told us that the fireplace was broken and needed a full replacement, holes in the walls behind the doors because there was not a door stop, stains on the sheets, and hair in the shower. When I called the front desk, they let me know that there was nothing that they could do. These cottages were very expensive. We are a family of 5 (two adults and three kids) and we stayed there as a rare treat. The jetted tub shot out grey/black nasty water so that was a definite NO. Not having a working fireplace was very disappointing since we paid extra for this amenity. I would not recommend this place until they revamp their customer service and take better care of their property. Adding salt to the wound, they were put out that we declined to rebook at their "special rate." I requested a room change and was denied. That simple and reasonable accommodation would have solved so many issues. I requested the difference since the fireplace was broken and was denied that as well. Terrible customer service.

Family Christmas Trip

The first day we struggled with getting them to fix the wifi and making our tubs hold water they finally came the second day to fix those. The second day we realized the hot water lasted all of 15 mins max before it ran out trying to fill the tub that evening shut it off only to realize hours later there was still no hot water tried reaching someone to het this issue resolved yet there was no resolution offered the third day when we stayed we were not offered any compensation etc and were told because we had completed our stay tough basically so we contacted hotels.com for a partial refund at least we will not be staying at this property ever again!

I was a very nice stay for our family. The units are very close together and I can imagine the parking could be a problem dkuring very busy seasons. We were there the week berfor Christmas and it wasn't very crowed and we all enjoyed our stay. Maintenance was very quick to attend to us!

We have stayed at Stormy Point several times and have always enjoyed our stay. We have had a few minor issues in the past but they were always taken care of. Our main issue this time was that the house was up several stairs that were uneven but not horrible. The main problem was that the steps going into the house were sinking in the front and angled away from the porch. Some of us stumbled on them several times. Those steps could be a safety issue and should be addressed and fixed.
