If you need additional parking, the Town of Breckenridge offers paid overnight options in two convenient locations: 1) south of town at the Stephen C. West Ice Arena, and 2) north of town at the Airport Road satellite lot, which also accommodates RVs and trailers.

Colorado Traction Law:
From September through May 31, the Colorado Traction Law is in effect for all drivers traveling on I-70 between Morrison and Dotsero as well as US-285 to Breckenridge . This law mandates that vehicles must be equipped with either four-wheel or all-wheel drive and snow-rated or mud + snow tires. Alternatively, vehicles with two-wheel drive must have winter tires, chains, or other traction devices. Ensuring your vehicle is properly equipped is essential for safe winter driving in Colorado. If you’re renting a car, be sure to confirm with your rental company that your vehicle meets these requirements.

First time visit to the Mountains
For most of us this was our first visit to the mountains. We had an amazing, the house was perfect for us. The view was incredible and breathtaking every morning looking out the big picture window at that view. House had everything we needed. Had a minor issue with the hot tub and it was taken care of immediately, couldn't ask for better communication. We thank you for lending your home to us.

Great Spot Near Breckinridge
For our group vacation this year we planned on going to Breckinridge. There are 14 of us so finding a place that can actually fit 14 people (adults and teens that think they're adults) can be challenging. Gasthaus Breck was perfect for us. Everyone had a bed, no one had to sleep on a couch or pull out to make it work. The view of Quandary Mountain from the deck were amazing and a great way to start and end the day with the sun setting behind it. The location was perfect for us for a quick run into Breck and to head out for daily adventures. We were also pleasantly surprised to find that we were a quick trip up the mountain to Hoosier Pass / The Continental Divide. We had a couple little issues that were handled immediately and without question. Everything about the house was inviting and comfortable which made returning "home" everyday a great experience. Great house !! Couldn't have been happier with our experience.

excellent property - altitude a problem
house was lovely, clean, beautiful views. The few things missing (toilet paper) were quickly replaced by a friendly and very helpful staff! Biggest problem was altitude - not mentioned in the description of property. Well over 10,000 feet - we all struggled - especially as house has many stairs! Should be mentioned.

Love it!!
The property was lovely inside. Kitchen was stocked with everything you need, down to the seasoning. lol. The scenery with snow and pine trees were postcard picture perfect. It was 15 minutes from the main strip of activities.

The stay was the first two nights. Following that our hot tub stopped working, we found roaches and a mouse in the house. We requested to be moved to another one of their properties due to that and were met with someone hanging up the phone on me. This was an awful stay and we also had someone get sick during that time.

Breckinridge is beautiful!
Property was just as ordered! Short 10 minute drive to downtown. Quiet and peaceful. Snow was wonderful for thanksgiving week. Believe them when they say all wheel or 4 wheel drive. No problems in our awd. Would definitely stay again.

Overall, the property was nice with great views. No complaints, everything was as advertised. The altitude was too much for our group, so it’s something to keep in mind. We had to check out early as someone in our group was later diagnosed with acute respiratory failure. Before he was diagnosed, we informed the owners that we would be checking out early. By no means did they have to send a refund, to my surprise a refund was issued by the owner and we are so appreciative. Again, great property and the owners are surely great business people. I highly recommend this property.

Beautiful mountain view
Our multigenerational family group was able to make use of all the generous space provided in this home. Located about 10 miles south of Breckenridge was a plus . Close enough to enjoy amenities in town and far enough away to relax in the peace of trees and mountain viewing. Plenty of trails to keep all levels of hikers entertained. Plenty of bedroom space and bathrooms for all children and adults.

Nice place to stay
The house is roomy and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay here. A couple of limitations that should be noted are parking and the stairs to each level are narrow. No where does the listing talk about the 3 car limit. This would have been an issue if everyone invited had need able to come. The windows need some serious work as they feel like they are coming apart when we tried to open them. A recycle bin is needed. The management company was very responsive when texted. A heads up would have been appreciate when the hot tub person showed up.

The 14 of us had a great time. Hot tub was awesome & worked great! Kitchen stocked well! We seen Moose wondering in neighborhood. Parking was tight for 3 Tahoe’s with all the snow. 4wd a must to get to house in winter. We had 37” of snow in 3 days so we had to shovel a lot. House was comfortable, along with the beds. Good times!!!!

Not well suited for 16 people. I’d say 10 tops
The house was not what we expected. The table sat 10 at the most and that was pushing it. The counter where they show chairs is unusable. I am 5’11” and my chin came to the top. There is no room for food. No pantry and very little space. No mixer. No potato masher. No grater. The fry pans (larger ones) are awful. The seating area sits 9 max. It’s comfortable but again, could have a little more seating. The downstairs area is a love seat that I would not sit on and a round chair. The back door sticks. Our bedroom leaked. One shower (downstairs) is not tall enough if you’re 6”. SkyRun however was wonderful and I would rent from them again just not this house. The garbage disposal has a very hard rubber piece and we had to use silverware in order to get it to work. The hot tub was nice and the beds (except for the bunk beds) were comfortable The main floor bedroom needs a dresser. There is an alcove where one would fit. The night stand has a small unusable drawer and one other. The closet has no light and even with the room light on you cannot see inside the closet. As for hangers I think there were five or less per room. There is no driveway per se. I would call it a parking pad where only 4 cars fit. You enter a door at the top and walk down a set of steps into the foyer. Great for cold weather clothes but I would recommend a shelf with baskets for hats and gloves. I have a lake house on vrbo myself and provide at least a large card table. We bought and left 6 card table chairs

Beautiful view but a lot of deferred maintenance
The view from inside and off the back deck are awesome. Plenty of space for our family of 12. The hot tub was perfect and we used it a lot. They provide a lot of beach towels plus there’s a washer and dryer ( bring your own detergent). I would have given them a five but there was a lot of deferred maintenance that keeps it from being perfect. The kitchen sink had a leak so when we arrived we had to deal with water clean up. They did have someone out quickly but needed major work so we were without a kitchen sink our first night. The door is falling off the cabinet under the sink, many windows are missing screens, refrig is colder on top shelves than bottom and the thermostat is broken in the downstairs queen bedroom. In all fairness I didn’t call maintenance about anything but the sink. But when I’m on vacation I don’t want to have to deal with any of the issues I deal with at home.

Major Heating Issues!
For the price and the amount of rooms this seemed to be a great find but the heating issues really made it difficult to enjoy our stay. The top floor had two bedrooms (HOT... hot air travels up), on the main level one bedroom (temperature ok but on the colder side), and in the basement the remaining 3 bedrooms. This is where we had our temperature issues, throughout our stay the temperatures in the basement level were consistently in the 50s. This after having the heater running for 24 hours. We did call management and they did respond very quickly but basically the respond was, "Heaters are turned on and working, here are some area heaters". When we installed theses area heaters after a couple of hours it tripped the breakers so we did not have any heat until the technician came the next morning. All in all the management was nice and did the best they could but this house has a heating design flaw that has to be fixed. Add more heating in the basement level!
