Mountain Thunder Lodge is a luxurious and elegant retreat ideally located among the pines and aspens of Breckenridge, only 200 yards from the gondola and 2 blocks from Main St. Alternately use the At Your Service shuttle provided by Mountain Thunder to any location in Breck, including direct access to any of the base areas. This 2nd story townhouse is unique within Mtn Thunder:
1. it backs directly onto Gondola Ski-Back Ski run (only a few units are located on the ski run and this is one!)
2. it is the closest 2 BR townhome to the access trail (the shortest walk from the trail)
3. it is an upper unit … no units and no noise above you
4. at 1400 sq ft it is the largest 2BR unit in the complex
5. the second BR has a queen / double bunk so it is perfect for a second couple or families with children.
You are literally a few feet to skiing and hiking from your front door! Ski/walk to the gondola or downtown and ski right back to your home!
This exquisite townhouse is a large second story unit (ground entry with interior stairwell) featuring 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Being an upper unit means there is no one above you and thus affords you the quiet you want on your vacation. The spacious 1400 sq ft floor plan with soaring vaulted ceilings make it one of the most spacious 2 BR units in Breck. The unit has been updated with wood tile flooring, new carpet in the bedrooms and all new paint throughout. The high end furnishings complement this luxury property. The Master Suite features a king bed, office desk and chair, an ensuite that has double sinks, and a tub with a separate shower. The 2nd bedroom features a bunk bed with a queen bed on the bottom and a double bed on top. This bedroom has direct access to the 2nd bathroom which comes with a full tub and shower combo. Finally a queen sleeper sofa allows for up to 8 people in the unit.
A full kitchen with oven/stove, microwave, full size refrigerator and dishwasher and numerous small appliances (toaster, blender, slow cooker, coffee maker, keurig) as well as full sets of cutlery, dishware, and cookware gives you the option to eat in as if at home.
Many additional amenities are included … there are 3 large flat screen TVs in the townhouse. 4K Smart TV in the living room allows access to streaming services, Netflix, or wireless casting for device viewing or HDMI cable provided for wired viewing from your laptop. Bluetooth enabled soundbar / speakers allow for audio streaming from your phone/ipad etc. A new (2024) washer and dryer is located in the unit so there is no need to overpack!. Thoughtful extras include a pack’n play for infants/toddlers, high chair, fans, humidifiers (for our southern guests!), iron and board, hair dryer and extra blankets.
The unit has an attached private heated garage (big enough for a full-size SUV) with ski racks and boot dryers. The private driveway accommodates a second vehicle and additional vehicles can be parked on property in designated locations (parking fee may be required for more than 2 vehicles). However... it is unlikely you will need your vehicle as everything is within walking distance including downtown and gondola and grocery store. For further distances or when you simply don’t want to walk you simply call the included “At Your Service” door to door shuttle bus service! This service will pick you up right at your front door and drive you to anywhere in Breck including all the base areas! No need to wait at bus stops!
Your stay includes access to amenities including an onsite fitness facility, outdoor heated pool (open year round), and multiple hot tubs on property. Wireless internet and cable service is included. In addition you have access to all the amenities at One Ski Hill at the base of Peak 8 which includes an indoor swimming pool, bowling alley, private media room. and additional fitness facility!

Cleaning protocols are in compliance with Summit County requirements. A complete change of towels, linens, pillows, and guest consumable items are included. Housekeeping services during guest stays are available at extra cost
Note the gondola ski back run behind the unit opens and closes for the season based on snow conditions. It typically opens between early/mid December (between Thanksgiving and Christmas) and closes around mid-April. If it is not open you can still take the gondola back down.
