We would go back. I loved it. My husband was a little less enthusiastic partly because we had to haul our bags up a couple short flights of stairs and partly because he had to duck while walking around the room. The ceiling was quite low and he is 6 ft tall. :) I’m not certain he was actually going to hit his head it was more that it felt like he might.
Amazing breakfast in a very quaint old room. If you are looking for modern this isn’t it, but if you like some national heritage and a good night sleep (great beds) this is it! Wish we could have stayed longer.
It’s about a 13 minute walk to the train station so it’s in a convenient location.
We had a room facing the lake so the view was beautiful. It’s got a very rustic, cozy feel.
What a beautiful place in a beautiful town. We arrived during the hottest days and the office staff was so gracious they let us borrow their office fan. There was a big storm that came through that disrupted the whole town but their service didn't waver. Thank you so much for everything! We had a spectacular time!
It was difficult for us to find the accurate location, one company owned 3 places, the restaurant near the lake view, very bad old waiter,we are tourists and we did not know what kind food we would order as we asked what we wanted to eat,but they did not have, the old waiter had no patience and was pissed off.we recommend the tourists don’t go there any more if you can bear this bad service.
This hotel is a little gem. I booked randomly and the staff was super friendly! I actually became buddies with one of the waiters.
The view on the lake is magnificent. I wish I could stay longer!
The front staff were exceptionally helpful, kind and professional . We had a ‘glitch’ with a third party booking agent, and the front desk individuals patiently and proficiently worked to make proper corrections. Thank you! Also- we absolutely loved the setting, the fine waiter ( from Turkey, originally) and the many outdoor activities available on our vacation!
The view is beautiful and the staff was super nice and friendly. Breakfast offers a decent variety of food. The only downside is that the walls are rather thin so if you have noisy neighbors like we did, it makes for a rather unpleasant experience.
I enjoyed my time here. Great location for exploring the Alps, breakfast was delicious (pastries in particular), and the majority of the staff was nice to me as an English speaker. Despite concrete walls, there were some noisy neighbors on a couple nights (as late as 1:30am on a Sunday) but that’s hotel life. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I recommend.
