The hotel was very convenient location on main shopping street. We walked to all locations we visited rather than use public transport. We had a large room on 6th floor so had no problems with noise, plus we kept windows closed and ac on due to heat wave when we visited. Breakfast room was very small so gets very busy at peak times. Breakfast was good, continental with cooked items. The staff were very helpful, booked us taxi to train station. We certainly will return to Budapest and would not hesitate to stay at promenade city again

Cant ask for a better location if you are in Budapest..walkable everywhete around the city center very close to river and streets full of restaurants..we had a great time..good breakfast too

Great hotel for a great price! Breakfast was very good and was included. Housekeeping was done every day and the AC worked great. The location was prime and very walkable. Only complaint was the showers leak a ton when you use them. Overall highly recommend.

This is not a 5 star hotel, but it is decent, comfortable, and centrally located. The breakfast was very good and Dora took the time to explain many things upon our arrival.

Great location, Good Value
Shower door could not be closed to prevent water leakage outside the shower. Breakfast was very good and had a variety each day. Bed was soft for my taste. Great location with easy access to metro, shopping and restaurants. Good value for the money too.

This is the perfect spot if you want something central in Budapest. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything is within walking distance. You are right on the busy promenade yet the rooms are peaceful and quiet. Would recommend.

Poor hotel
The room smelled like there was a dead animal. Spoke to receptionist and he said our house keeping will check tomorrow but same smell next day. Then receptionist admitted that it is due to sewage pipes being blocked. Old, dated and dark, barely any light in rooms There is an old lift which makes very bad sound so you cant sleep. Too noisy. The walls or floors are not sound proof, so anyone talking at reception, you can hear their voices. The breakfast was poor quality and not many options specially if you are vegetarian or vegan. Overall food looked like expired or dead literally. Smelly. Two positive things were that the staff was really good and the location is great.

Honestly was only for the night so I could do the markets and spend the day in the city. Staff friendly and my room was amazing. Enough space for one really enjoy the bathroom and the design and layout. The bed was a bit to firm for my taste but managed to get some rest. Highly recommend and within walking distance to a lot of places and a quick walk to the underground metro.
