Just terrible! Check in was a joke. Charged a deposit that was more than the cost of the room and was not brought to light before reserving the room or after. The man at the front desk was difficult to understand. There was no bedding for the pull out and there was mouse feces all over the pull out.Tried adding a photo but would not let me.
I wouldn’t recommend this property. The one plus was no carpeting, I’m not sure I have anything else particularly positive to say. The bed was fine and the linens seemed clean, but we called right after arrival asking for an extra blanket and some more towels, got a confirmation that the request was sent to housekeeping and never got either. They are clearly doing some updates but whoever they’re using to do them should be fired. I won’t go into detail about the shoddy work, but it was ridiculous. The other huge issue was that there was no hot water in the shower. None. Turned on the water, it got mildly luke warm then once in it went from there to cold. It was because the new shower control didn’t allow you to turn it past barely warm. We got a ‘family’ room and there is no door between the two rooms. The door to the bathroom hadn’t been painted, it was filthy, the door didn’t really fit so they shaved some off and it was so rough we’d catch our clothes on it because the space is so tight you have to be a contortionist to get around the toilet so you can shut the bathroom door. There was a huge, full sized refrigerator in the room and a tiny microwave that was sitting on the nightstand on the other side of the bed in the main room. No table to sit at to eat, no hangers or even a small closet. Whoever they hired to paint should refund them their money. It’s like they gave us a room that was BEING remodeled, badly, not one that was finished.
The room was filthy and reeked of smoke. The carpet had stains and there were flies in the room. It was disgusting! There were several barking dogs in rooms next to our room. We were told the hotel is smoke free and pet free. We did not end up staying and were told we cannot get a refund. I never received a return call from the manager and I called several times. Perhaps Expedia can assist me with getting a refund.
To the owner/managers: folks, you place simply put is a dive. The good news is if do two things you can turn it around: 1) get some cleaning crews in and deep clean the rooms on an annual ongoing basis 2) invest a little money on a little better quality linens and bedding.
Look, nobody expects this place to be the Plaza. But a little effort and money could turn this place around. It’s not too late to turn this place around.
Issues: dirty a/c unit. Filthy rug. Generally unsanitary.
We paid more for this room on grad weekend than we did at Disney world. Crazy.
