The linens were not properly cleaned and smelled of mildew. There was no fridge nor microwave in the room as would have been expected at this price and type of hotel. But the staff were friendly!

The staff was the best part of this hotel - everyone was super friendly! The hotel isn’t terrible, but it’s pretty old, the furniture, decor, etc is very dated it’s in an area I wouldn’t walk around in town.

The rooms are in need of renovations. I did not find my room to be exceptionally clean. We did enjoy dinner at the restaurant/bar in the lobby. The food was good and service was amazing.

Overall, our stay at the Charleston Marriott Town Center was all right. We got in late, and left early, so we didn't have much time to form a really strong opinion. On the positive side, they were able to switch us to a room more accommodating to the number of people in our party, which was nice. On the less positive side, a sign in the elevator indicated that food from the kitchen/restaurant was available until 11 p.m., but the front desk informed me that they actually stopped serving food at 10 p.m., which meant we had to order delivery from one of the few places still open in the area. We ended up getting food, but it would certainly have been more convenient if the sign in the elevator had been accurate. Marriotts are generally decent stays, and there is no reason I wouldn't stay here again. (I'd just try to check in a little earlier!)

The sales Director would not allow me to rent the small conference room. It was absolutely outrageous. All we needed to do was sit in there for an hour and watch some video. I would never been treated so poorly by staff before. All the general staff at the desk in the hotel were fantastic. One person ruined our experience.

Property is dated but well maintained. Marriott beds very comfortable as always. Was most pleasantly surprised by how good the dining was. Had a delicious arugula salad which at first seemed too big but ultimately was finished completely because it was so good! A pork chop with demi glaze, broccolini and fingerling potatoes was equally delicious.
