A picturesque walk to Panthers Stadium from Uptown Charlotte's most charming historic neighborhood, The Guest House is clean, safe, pet-friendly, and lovingly hosted by the on-site homeowner. Spacious and stylish with striking skyline views, abundant natural light, and enjoyable outdoor spaces. Sleeps up to 8 adults with 2 semi-private bedrooms, 1.5 baths, cook’s kitchen, a tranquil veranda, and thoughtfully luxurious amenities. Super-fast, reliable WiFi and 3 TVs with premium cable/streaming.
This stylish, spotless, and spacious 2-story townhome is over 1100 square feet, furnished for up to 8 adults and 2 little ones, and features a secluded, tranquil screened porch that we call "The Veranda." The charming bistro table in the front yard is perfect for relaxing while watching the horse-drawn carriages saunter thru the neighborhood.
The first floor features hardwood floors with a living room that offers a 55" UHDTV equipped with premium streaming & cable, iPod dock/radio, and various touches that make it a warm gathering space. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped featuring stainless appliances, essential cooking tools and ingredients, a large table that seats up to eight, and plates, bowls, serving dishes, baby/child-friendly dishware, and glassware.
On the carpeted second floor, you'll find vaulted ceilings with amazing views of the Uptown skyline. This huge space becomes two semi-private bedrooms when the pocket doors are closed and features a walk-in closet, privacy screens, and a desk. In each of the 2 bedrooms, you'll find a queen bed with luxury memory foam mattresses. In the back bedroom, there's also a trundle bed (2 singles). Ample floor space on both floors means plenty of room for the 4 single air mattresses. Be sure to take a look at the 2nd floor layout in my photo gallery.
The chic half-bath on the first floor features a washer/dryer and iron/ironing board as well as laundry supplies. The full bath on the second floor offers a large seated shower (no bathtub), handheld shower head, in-shower shaving mirror, blow dryer, and high-quality shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, toothpaste (and toothbrushes in case you forgot yours!), sewing kit, shower cap, cotton swabs, air freshener, and a first aid kit.
Recently upgraded with gorgeous cell window shades including blackouts in the bedrooms!
The Guest House is equipped for your little ones: highchairs, booster seats, Pack N Play cribs, changing table, baby monitor, baby bath, stair gate, and much more. Please let me know when you make the reservation whether you need these items placed out for you!
Although The Guest House does not have a fenced yard for your furry friends, there's a large park just across the street and a dog park less than 1 mile away.
GUEST ACCESS
The Guest House offers self check-in. You'll have the entire home and may come and go as you please.
Unfortunately, the City of Charlotte recently changed its parking policies and permit costs and I have no choice but to pass these costs on to my guests - even my visiting family members!
Parking in Fourth Ward is on-street only and requires a temporary daily permit at $12.00 per day. If you are traveling with a vehicle, please provide your license plate number and state as well as vehicle make at the time of booking. After you check in, I will issue a request so that I may recover the cost of the permits that I purchase on your behalf.
In The Guest House's detailed Welcome Book (available here as well as in a print version inside the home), I provide a map detailing the neighborhood's on-street parking spaces as well as parking lots/garages within 4 blocks.
ACCESSIBILITY
One of the nicest features about this home is that the first floor – which offers a half-bath and sleeper sofa - is wheelchair accessible. The home's main entry offers both stairs and a ramp.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
Non-refundable pet fee of $50 each.
I provide starter supplies of coffee, assorted teas, cold filtered water, and many other items such as condiments, paper products, personal care products, and cleaning products. If you need anything more, please don't hesitate to ask. I keep a supply of things like toothbrushes, razors, and deodorant in case my guests forget to pack their own. I'm also happy to pre-stock The Guest House with anything else you require or desire.
