The staff was lovely and very accommodating. The elevators took forever and the closet in the room was placed horrible, could barely open the door which had the only full length mirror on the inside.

Walked into bathroom and found human hairs on counters and bathroom sink along with some brown substance. I let the concierge know when I was walking out to dinner and all I got was a “we sorry and we will let house keeping know.” Never did she mention she would send someone up to clean it or at least offer anything for the trouble. Not happy at all; especially since the price of the hotel isn’t cheap.

Overall, this is a nice property. We rented a corner studio and it was roomy and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is a double edged sword, or at least for me. It is close walking distance to lots of attractions, shopping, restaurants. However we did not realize that Michigan Ave becomes a party on Saturday nights. We could hear it all from our 11th floor room, and the cars and music coming from the cars went well past 2 am. I understand not much the Pendry can do, but maybe ask for a room not facing Michigan Ave if you value your sleep.

The hotel has a great scent throughout, and its location is perfect for exploring Chicago — very convenient! The staff is highly professional, and the room was extremely comfortable. However, there are a few downsides. The room’s Art Deco decor leans heavily on white tones and black-and-white photos, which felt a bit stark. It could benefit from a stand for opening carry-ons, and the mirrors inside the closet are not very practical. The Venteux restaurant seems understaffed; I had to wait 25 minutes for food on one occasion, and on another morning, it took 10 minutes for a host to arrive and seat guests. For the price point, being served orange juice from concentrate was also disappointing. On a positive note, the bar downstairs is quite good. As for the rooftop, it's decent, but the interior space next to the bar doesn't quite live up to what one might expect from a 'luxury' label

I love the gold leaf on top of the building. The rooms were very modern and picturesque. I liked the welcome drink. It was delicious! The room service was slightly expensive, but definitely worth the experience. The accommodations were unique and roomy. The bellhops and greeters were helpful and kind. It was centrally located. We hope to return!
