I can’t praise this hotel and it’s staff enough! I brought my mother for an overnight stay as a Mother’s Day present. The one night, two day visit left us feeling as relaxed as we would after a week’s holiday. I had booked a two hour treatment for us both in the Spa which was AMAZING! Fantastic and genuine staff who made you feel special and completely cared for. The Spa itself is beautiful with stunning views, gorgeous facilities and an excellent range of high quality products. I’m dying to go back! The best Spa I’ve been to in a long time. Certainly the best Spa staff I’ve ever encountered. Warm, professional and extremely well trained. I like that they were highly competent but not snooty. In the past, when I’ve gone to a high end spa I’ve found the staff to be snobbish and as a result I’ve been irritated, felt patronised and left feeli. Not so here. These women are special. As for the food at the castle! Wow! We had dinner and breakfast in the George V. The fine dining experience was perfect. The food was delicious and beautiful. A feat for the eyes as well as the palate. Once again, the staff were faultless. They were warm, professional and just the right level of attentiveness is given. Breakfast was relaxed in this beautiful dining room with a wide of fresh, scrumptious produce from the buffet and tantalising offerings from the menu. My only criticism would be the cappuccino which was weak and tasteless which was surprising because they make perfect espresso.

The dungeon restaurant lets the property down it badly needs to be refurbished also the wine menu is very limited there should be a better choice of reasonable priced wines The tour boat at the entrance should be out of sight as it cheapens the experience

The experience at Ashford Castle is the closest you get to heaven. When you arrive to when you depart the castle you are treated like Royalty. The staff couldn't do enough for you and that added to the experience in a big way. The castle itself is 800 years old and is absolutely stunning. From the Dungeon to the George V restaurants and the Cannaught for afternoon tea the food was gorgeous and well presented. The one criticism that I could make is the menus could be more extensive. Breakfast was gorgeous and people staying should try the ham. The Billiard's Room was great and we were very impressed with the cinema in the hotel. We watched the Quiet Man and we were provided with drinks, sweets and popcorn. The Corribb bedrooms were beautiful and beds were super comfortable. The views from our room was magnificent showing the river and castle moat. The only criticism was that there should be a kettle in the room. The Irish Wolfhounds were magnificent. We went on bicycles around the castle and it was very enjoyable. Boat trip was brilliant and it took us around several islands. Horse riding was superb. Spa treatments were divine with a lovely relaxation room and swimming pool. Walking inside or outside the castle is fantastic and plenty to see. Saving the best to last- Ashford Castle's Falconry. We were holding and walking Harris Hawks. The birds were gorgeous and majestic. We were holding food in our hand and in a split second the food was gone. I would recommend Ashford.

The best place we ever stayed.

The nicest place we ever stayed. The hotel was amazing and very well looked after . The staff were so so nice and accommodating we felt so welcome there. We will definitely be back 👍😀
