Months before traveling to Copenhagen, we went back and forth about whether the 71 Nyhavn ‘splurge’ was worth it — and I can say without a shadow of a doubt, the answer was…YES. This property is incredible, from the staff, the decor, the rooms, the breakfast — oh the breakfast. So insanely great. Not just good, great. This is the quintessential Copenhagen experience in the most ideal location. If you’re even considering it — go for it.

The building is an old warehouse and they are restricted with how they can arrange rooms. We really enjoyed relaxing in our quiet room occasionally with the window open listening to the hustle and bustle down below and church bells ringing out across the water. We had a restricted view of the canal, but it did not detract from the enjoyment of our stay.

Sadly Sparrow needs updating. From the lack of parking to check in to steps at entrance (luggage) to tiny elevator to hallway shabby carpet & room’s moldy bath tile, it’s just a hassle. Parking is a nightmare - try getting back in the lot. Worst - so noisy we couldn’t sleep & taking a shower means the entire bathroom is wet. Breakfast ok but why charge for espresso drinks? Could not check out fast enough!

Had a lovely stay here for a few days. The hotel was in a perfect location. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were very kind & helpful. Lovely accommodating rooms with a nice feel. We did have one issue with street noise so the staff were very quick to move us to a quieter room. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

71 Nyhavn Hotel is an outstanding place to stay. The location is fabulous and the hotel has lots of character. We loved being on Nyhavn and the famously photographed area. Hotel was very convenient for tours and the Copenhagen metro. Hotel service was excellent, they beautifully catered for a special request, the reception desk were incredibly helpful and everything works very well. The restaurant was fabulous and the bar area was very good. Breakfast was awesome! We had a great stay, one of the best I've experienced anywhere in the world - everything just works brilliantly. I recommend without hesitation.

Beautiful hotel in center of everything
The staff here are exceptional and we really enjoyed our stay. Hotel also has a superb Italian restaurant which also has great service, food, and nice vibe. The location is perfect for seeing the city.

Great hotel in a wonderful location
71 Nyhavn is a really nice hotel in a great location. Staff was very helpful. Ac was lacking but they brought up a huge Dyson fan and windows opened to a great breeze every night. Ideally located with tons of restaurants and shops right on the canal. Absolutely fantastic breakfast buffet every morning. They serve an italian dinner I believe but we ate other meals elsewhere.
