Beautiful home, great location
We loved this house which was both roomy and cozy. There was lots of wildlife to watch off the back deck and the location is quiet and private but also a short walk to quaint shops and the Currituck Beach Lighthouse. The steam shower in the master bath was epic, like having a private spa, and we enjoyed the beautiful artwork in the house.

Our most favorite place to stay ever
This house was the perfect place to spend a quiet, relaxing time in Corolla. From the beautiful decorations throughout the house, to the modern kitchen, to the back deck overlooking a peaceful pond, the house is a perfect choice for anyone looking for a quiet refuge. Unlike many rentals, the house felt more like a home we could see ourselves living in. Thank you for the chance to experience your amazing home.

We love this place! Again.
Another wonderful stay, one more reason to come back- perfect place in a quiet setting. No complaints. Perfect - even commissioned an artist to paint the sunset off of the pond of the sound.

Perfect for large group
Pros: Lots of space to spread out; well equipped kitchen, (at least the knives were sharp) deck was awesome for early morning coffee, bird watching and feeding the turtles. Hot tub was so relaxing after a day at the beach. Loved the local shops within walking distance. Very short distance to beach access by car. Cons: Cleaning was in progress when we arrived at 6PM and had to wait almost an hour before entering the house. If we had arrived on time at 4pm check in the property would not have been cleaned and ready for us. Additionally, the hot tub is cleaned by a specific company but they did not come until Monday. Glad we didn't use the hot tub before it was cleaned. Front porch could have been more welcoming without the spiders and cobwebs. Some things were unclear like exactly what is available in the shed to use by renters; Who is responsible to refill the gas grill propane tank? Went to grill burgers and hot dogs and tank was empty and it was too late to have it refilled.

Lovely Corolla stay
Our family really enjoyed our stay. The house is perfectly situated for a stroll around Corolla village, a drive up the beach, a climb up the lighthouse and it was close enough to explore the other nearby towns. There was lots of space, we particularly loved the views from the upper-floor sitting room. Unfortunately, the weather was terrible during our stay so we didn't get to use the hot tub or the deck, but that looked lovely too. Overall a great property that we'd love to stay in again.

Retreat to beauty and rejuvenation
My family of four stayed here during a cold week in March and loved it. The house is spacious enough for 6-8 people and we hope to share with another family next time but we enjoyed the luxury of a spacious house. The pond, large living room and fireplace, steam shower and hot tub made this a spa like retreat. The kitchen had everything we needed. The location was amazing near the beach, the wildlife education center, lighthouse, and bookstore/cafes. Some were still closed for the winter season but walking in the area was interesting and beautiful. We hiked nearby in the maritime forest but didn't go on any of the wild horse tours bc of the cold and not really knowing enough about the air up/down strategy. The back deck overlooking the pond was peaceful and rejuvenating. We saw five turtles, egrets, bald eagles, and a neighbor stopped by with some rescue ponies. I will bring binoculars next time. The kids also enjoyed the tv and the puzzles. The management company was super responsive when we had questions or issues. The check in instructions were a bit confusing and left out info on the fire places and thermostats but we asked and the company responded quickly. We hope to come back someday!

We loved our stay here! Such a peaceful, tranquil spot with lots of wildlife
We LOVED our stay here. The home is beautifully decorated. The back deck over looking the water and the front porch swings were some of our favorite aspects. The kids used the hot tub daily, that was a great much needed benefit. We enjoyed the use of it and the outdoor shower after the beach .The house is away from the chaos of some of the busier areas. Set back. So quiet. Very close to 4x4 beach. The home Overlooks the water and has so many turtles 🐢. At one point my daughter counted 24! They were always popping up to the surface to say hello! We spotted an egret and spotted a few deer around the water in the backyard. We found a baby Turtle in the yard about the size of a half dollar. We loved the 3rd floor nook for reading and the fully stocked kitchen for at home meals. Neighbors living over the garage were friendly. Only negatives were no pool and that you’re only allowed 2 cars. We had to pay to leave a third vehicle locally where there was definitely ample space on the property for a 3rd car but were told it was not allowed. We would definitely stay here again. We loved it for our family (our family was 8 guests but could have definitely slept 10 guests but max occupancy is 8) thank you for a wonderful stay

This is a beautiful house that does not at all feel like a rental. The furnishing and amenities felt like we were visiting someone at their home. The house is in wonderful condition, walking distance to the Old Village and located on a little pond filled with curious turtles. We had one hiccup however. When we arrived after check in we found the unit to be not cleaned from the previous renters. I called Vacasa and they were responsive in attempting to get it resolved, but we were told that no one would be coming until the next day. So I went to the store and bought laundry soap and bleach wipes to do laundry and clean bathrooms. Not a great way to start our relaxing long weekend. After getting some sheets and towles in the washer and scrubbing all of the dirty toilets (yuck!), a cleaning crew did arrive around 9:30pm and gave us fresh sheets and towels and agreed to come the next day to clean the entire unit - which they did. If not for this inconvenience, it would be a 5 star place to stay. One other weird event...we arrived back to the house after exploring one day to find a woman and her dog on the front porch looking in the windows. We asked what she wanted and she said her dog likes to look at the turtles. The turtles are in the back so I'm not sure why she was in the front. She also left fresh dog poop in the back yard. Not sure if she was a nosey neighbor, but she wasn't respectful of our space either way. Would stay here again though.

The pictures don’t do this place justice. Huge vaulted ceilings and a little “look out” room up high, perfect for viewing sunsets on the Sound. Right on a big pond with tons of wildlife around, yet just 100 yards from Old Corolla Village, an easy walk to the Lighthouse and Whalehead.

Great location, views and a wonderful time!
We stayed a month and will go back. Although we were there in the off season, it was what we wanted. Beaches were breath taking, shells abundant! House was perfect- the back deck was a great place to feed the ducks, watch the otter swim, see the eagles fly overhead, count the turtles and count the colors of the sunsets.

We had an amazing stay! The house is in a great location, very close to the 4x4 beach, lighthouse and cute shops of Old Corolla Village. Comfortably fit two families. The kids loved the turtles in the pond, but be ready for the bugs! Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Home
My family and I enjoyed spending Christmas in this beautiful home. The location is perfect. We walked to the quaint shops in Corolla Village and to Whalehead and the lighthouse. We enjoyed watching the bald eagles, otters and herons on the pond. The house was spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub, too. We hope to visit this home again in the future.

The house was beautiful and very spacious!
We truly enjoyed our stay. We loved the decor of the house. The only thing we didn’t like was the outside of the house needed a good power washing. There were spider webs all over the one porch and the back door was very hard to close. The refrigerator did not work well. We ended up throwing out some of our meat because of the refrigerator not getting cold enough. Other then that we really enjoyed our stay. It wasn’t a bad walk to the beach and you are right in Corolla Village.

Beautiful house in rustic area
The house was very clean and beautifully (and uniquely) decorated. My family, including dog, enjoyed our stay. Garage on property has renters which was a surprise, but didn't really see them and the one I spoke to was very nice in our brief interaction. Neighborhood is great to walk around and easy to take dog to park.

A Memory Maker in Corolla!!!!
We really enjoyed the house tucked away from the hustle & bustle that is summer on the Outer Banks! A small pond/wetlands with birds galore & even a large buck spotted at dusk. (we have photos to prove it) The deck overlooking the pond was great spot early morning and evening. It was a perfect reunion spot for our three grown children & three of our eight Grandchildren. We rented bikes the very first day.. We toured the Whalehead House,North Carolina Parks & Wildlife Museum, took trips on the kayaks with a group, climbed the lighthouse, bookstore was amazing, the BBQ was delicious!!! The horses on the beach were beautiful with a backdrop of sunrises & sunsets. Also, the Chapel was lovely The house had conversation areas for a family who does not see each other very often but also allowed privacy for sleeping. The kitchen was great for all the meals we shared together! A few items could be addressed: Light in the master bedroom closet, air conditioner in master bedroom climbed to 82 degrees in the middle of the night, This will not prevent us from renting this amazing house again...we just have to decide on a date and book it...
