Very Dirty/Repairs Needed - But Has Potential
Five family members and I had high hopes for our 5-night stay. Sadly, the house was dirty with MOLD, DIRT, HAIR and DUST THROUGHOUT. Repairs were needed. We found the marijuana vape pipe before the toddler did and moved bottles, cans, etc. from under her bed, but couldn’t repair the broken frame. Unplugged overwhelming scents. HVAC filter clogged with dirt and spread dust. Triggered one asthma exacerbation. We others sneezed a lot. We swept, but our white socks still turned black. We scrubbed the hair, mold and scum from one tub; bleached the nasty shower, refilled empty soap dispensers, replaced foul kitchen sponge, washed food off silverware and its divider, sanitized dirty cabinet handles and doorknobs in house, wiped fridge, emptied over-packed dryer lint (paint thinner and paint by dryer – fire hazard!). We left the used Band-Aid on the wall by the front door and crayon in a plastic plant. I used a finger to write “DUST ME!” on dusty furniture. Blinds broken. Screens torn. Top dishwasher rack broken and falls. Porch light out. Ants. Spiders.I TOOK PHOTOS, SENT THE OWNER A LIST AND REQUESTED A CLEANING FEE REFUND SINCE IT WASN’T CLEAN AND WE DID SO MUCH OURSELVES. SHE REPLIED IT WAS CLEAN AND THAT WE WERE JUST “BEING DRAMATIC.”With TLC, this would be a nice place. Fenced back yard w/tables, split floorplan, well-stocked kitchen, access to garage, near playground. I cannot in good conscience rate the property any higher. I depend on honest reviews and know you do, too.
