We had an overnight layover due to American Airlines changing the itinerary without notice. We arrived at Holiday Inn and were greeted by the front desk clerk, named “Dulce” that had a sour look on her face from the minute we arrived and very rude as if we were bothering her. We inquired into the shuttle in the morning. She stated the earliest shuttle was at 5:30 am. We agreed. In the morning, we were early for the 5:30 shuttle, again with a bad attitude, she was sitting in the lobby eating Cheetos, then walked behind the desk for checkout. she stated the shuttle had already left. It was only 5:22 am. he stated that the shuttle leaves at 5:20 am!!! I reminded her that she told us it did not come until 5:30 am. last night! Without any concern, she said the next shuttle comes at 6:00 am. We waited but were rushing to get to our gate. The shuttle driver was very nice! Also, although the beds were very comfortable and had a restful evening, Holiday Inn needs to hire better quality employees. I will still stay at other Holiday Inn hotels.

The room was clean but not impeccable. It was very spacious, which would work great for a family. The hotel reception was unreachable by phone, which I was told is circumstantial, but lead to no shuttle services from the airport and a spicy taxi bill with no compensation. There are no restaurants on site but was offered to walk over to the Sheraton. Breakfast with cold and warm options but zero gluten free and zero lactose free option. Was able to book shuttle for the next morning and ride was stressful and unpleasant. Driver was personable and was informed of discontentment. It was the cheaper hotel from airport when booked. Relatively close which was convenient for a short layover, but may not rebook here and not inclined to recommend. Overall acceptable experience.

Did not like non-choices of television shows. Am not sure if it’s a political stand, but it sure appeared that it is. In particular, TV network MSNBC - during my entire stay at your hotel, ONLY AUDIO was available. There was NO PICTURE. There were a couple other channels that only had audio. Because the tv did not identify the TV shows by name, I ‘m not able to name the stations. Being a regular viewer of MSNBC, I’m familiar with many of their hosts voices. Therefore, I knew I was listening to that network.

Hotel Doesn't Answer the Phone
The room itself was great and served our needs for a few hours between flights during a rerouted itinerary by our airline. The early-morning shuttle from the hotel to the airport also worked smoothly. However, after we arrived at DFW late at night, having booked the hotel from our departure airport, it took nearly an hour for a shuttle with enough room for the 3 members of our party to arrive. I called the hotel repeatedly in an attempt to find out how long we would need to wait, but no one ever answered the phone. When we finally arrived at the hotel, the workers also appeared to be uncommunicative and unprofessional to the contracted shuttle driver. It was a very rough beginning to a very brief stay.

It was a short distance to the airport and in the middle of all the things I wanted to do. Room was clean, no issues at all
