On check-in, we were given 1 bed for 2 large men, when we booked 2 beds on Expedia. Upon consulting with the clerk, he repeatedly told us he had no control over reservations through 3rd parties (Expedia). I have been booking on Expedia for 10 years, and I have never been denied the number of beds requested. Once I read down in the reviews (not the ones on Expedia), I found that this is a common practice here, giving away rooms to people flying in despite rooms already being paid for, and then blaming 3rd parties. The reviews also stated that they won't even tell the guest until the guest is in the room so they don't try to get a refund, which is exactly what happened to these gentlemen. Instead of moving them to a room with 2 beds, he kept blaming Expedia. He clearly was lying - I had my receipt and paid more for 2 beds. The female clerk the next day apologized for what the male clerk had done, and she was very kind, giving them the beds we paid for and a partial refund. Unfortunately, they still ended up having to share a bed the first night. I book for a lot of people, but I am embarrassed, and I will not put clients here again.

Checkin lady was very nice , considering the shuffle dropped about 8 people at once after 1am. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was good, Coffee and water in the lobby was helpful as well.

Booked room for clients - 2 beds - but when they checked in they were given 1 bed. He did not tell them they had been moved to 1 bed until they got into the room, despite paying more for 2 beds. He refused to put them in a room with 2 beds, despite proof on receipt and kept blaming Expedia (3rd parties). I was dumbfounded. When I read reviews that were outside of Expedia, repeated parties complained of the exact same thing, with one stating the clerk confessed to the common practice of management making them give rooms to people flying in the last minute, even if it meant not giving the proper beds to guests who had already paid but came later. The fact that this man had not been fired for repeating this practice, tells me the ownership/management encourages this practice, as he was on the phone with his manager as soon as I confronted him. The female clerk the next day fixed the beds, and gave us a credit, but not near what we deserved. I book beach condos, with perfect 5 star reviews for 15 years, and we make more money because our repeats respect us. Upsetting people just to get an extra booking here and there causes you to lose more money later because people will not use you again. You are not making money - and it is why you rates stay low. Treat people with respect - you will make more - people don't believe you when they use 3rd parties all of the time - or quit using 3rd parties. People are not stupid - people are waking up to this type of behavior.
