Running a SCAM on hotels.com guests!
THIS HOTEL IS RUNNING A SCAM on guests that book through a third-party website like Hotels.com. Upon check-in, I was told their system will double-charge taxes on any bookings made from a third-party site. To avoid this, they needed to rebook the room at the 'pre-tax' rate so their system could correctly add taxes. When they did this, they increased the cost of my stay by around a hundred dollars. It sounded suspicious but I didn't even consider they would be rebooking the room at a completely different rate. No indication of this was ever given, and I didn't have to sign anything authorizing a new room rate. Their front desk will not talk to anyone who booked through a third-party website. I'm working with Hotels.com to be refunded, but will probably never choose the 'pay at the hotel' option again, and will definitely not be staying with Homewood Suites again.

We only spent one night at hotel following a concert at Red Rocks. The suites were very roomy and comfortable. We were there so briefly but I would definitely book again if in the area.
