Poor and frustrating communication and welcome
On arrival in the afternoon ,there was noone at reception( they had restricted hours) , and the water dispenser was empty ( and stayed that way for the next day). I was told that my room had no Aircon ( while some did) , which was not emphasised at my online booking site, despite the heatwave, and the small bar fridge was warm.There is no phone in the rooms to reception, and I found that I couldn't turn the shower on, and there is no instruction via a diagram nor in writing how to do this. I was kept waiting in the foyer the next morning for them to find an assistant to personally demonstrate how to turn on the the shower. I bear some responsibility for not speaking German, but none of the staff spoke English, except the reception on Day One ( limited). Breakfast is expensive, so I suggest eating in the bakery across the road. The TV mechanism was dodgy, and needed yet another trip down the stairs to tell reception. I had considered continuing my stay , but that's now out of the question due to their poor means of communication.

Wow Dormero!
This June 2023 - 2 night stay was absolutely delightful. The staff was friendly and cordial. The hotel was very quite. The Dormero Hotel was the perfect stay for exploring the Bauhaus in Dessau. There are several great restaurants nearby. The breakfast buffet was terriffic. I have included photos. Thanks for the welcoming hospitality Dormero.

this property is not a hotel, more like a safe house for refugee women and children?! I had to stay there for two nights, as the other hotel in Dessau was booked for the time.

Convenient, budget, location ok.
Convenient, acceptable hotel, good location for Dessau. Good value for money, although breakfast seemed expensive - and the coffee machine did not work properly. Nice to see some facilities being used for Ukranians.

Erstes Zimmer hatte defektes Fenster! Ein Ersatzzimmer wurde zwar umgehend gestellt, war aber ebenfalls durchnittlich sauber, hatte lose Deckenelemente, Duschwanne war teilweise an den Silikonkanten schwarz. Sehr einfache Ausstattung, Glastür am Vitrinenschrank war defekt, als ich sie öffnen wollte um ein Glas herauszunehmen, löste sie sich aus dem defekten Scharnier. Rezeption war Vormittags nicht besetzt, man konnte sich nur an das Küchenpersonal wenden. An die angegebene Servicerufnummer meldete sich auch niemand! Leider kann ich so keine positive Empfehlung für einen nochmaligen Besuch angeben.

Wir waren mit unserem Hund in dem Hotel und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral. Wir haben zu Fuß Dessau erkundet. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und sehr gut aufgestellt. Wir können es jedem empfehlen,der mit Hund ,oder auch ohne ,ein sauberes und gemütliches Zimmer in Dessau sucht. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Gern wieder 👍😄

Mottagandet vid incheckningen var helt fantastiskt superbra! Jättetrevlig kille som stod i receptionen och tog emot oss! Vid frukosten däremot var det inte alls lika bra. Den var öppen 7-10 och vi var där 8.30. Flertalet bord var inte rengjorda trots att det var väldigt lugnt där. Kvinnan som jobbade där var heller inte så trevlig och hon följde efter oss och tittade vad vi gjorde kändes det som. När en av oss gick för att hämta två koppar kaffe så trängde hon sig in väldigt nära för att kolla om det fanns mjölk kvar så min vän fick flytta sig. Sedan tog hon själv en kopp så han fick stå och vänta. I övrigt var frukosten bra och kändes fräsch, det var kvinnan som gjorde oss obekväma och att hon inte rengjorde borden utan istället följde oss.
