Room 210 overhead drain pipes from floors above were extremely loud in one of the two bedrooms making it almost unusable. Aside from that is was a nice place to stay

My wife and I travel to Detroit quite a bit, but have never stayed here before. I think this will now be our go to place to stay! Such a cool concept - kitchen, laundry, just like an apartment. Area was great, lots of easily walkable shops, bars, restaurants. Access to the room/unit was super easy. Really enjoyed the quality of these Sonder rooms

Stayed 4 nights, queen room city view. We were overall pretty happy with this Sonder location. Areas that need improvement would be overall cleanness of room/common spaces in the hotel. We found quite a few places that needed a good wipe down in the room. I found we were able to justify a lot of these things though because of the price per night. The room had a lot of amenities you would need if you were planning on using the kitchen or in room laundry (dish washer pods, laundry pods). We parked across the street in the uncovered lot and were very pleased. Lot was tended to 24/7 with fence around, lot was quite busy. One of my main concerns was not having a lobby hostess for questions but I quickly realized I didn’t really need this person as I would ask the chat in app and within a few minutes a prompt response was given. Overall happy with Sonder Gabriel Richard Detroit.

Lovely apartment, amazing view, great staff - and right in the heart of Downtown Detroit. Great transport connections (Q Line 6 min walk away, People Mover next door, Rosa Parks Transit Center across the street, and DAX bus to the airport across the street). Internet and amenities were great, and a very comfortable bed

This place and the surrounding area did not look like the pictures online at all: the building is in rough shape, inside and out. The lobby is run down. Also, there is only ever one staff person there, who is nice and helpful but overworked. And you have to do everything through an app/phone. Also, my room was missing stuff and the washer was broken. They managed to fix things and give me credits, but I would not stay at one of these places again. You get what you pay for.

The towels are kind of thin and gross. But the thing that was the worst: the final night I could not sleep until 2am because someone was bouncing a ball or banging in another room. It took 4 hours after I reported the issue through the app for it to stop.

Cute studio apartment like room
The room was cute and very close to a lot of restaurants and other things in Downtown Detroit. The place do not have a front desk for check in or anyone to go to for needs or questions. You download their Sonder app, create an account, and check in using that. You don’t interact with a human for any of the check in or check out process or during your stay if you need anything. The room was dusty from eye level and up. It was very spacious and cute. Kitchen had what you need. You can hear outside and inside sounds. My room was by the elevator and I could hear people walking by all the time.

My daughter and I were in Detroit for the Jelly Roll concert. We really enjoyed the property, plenty of storage. It was nice and close to the Little Cesar Arena, within walking distance. Great location for all of downtown. Would definitely stay at again!

The room was great: clean, high ceilings, everything we needed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was fantastic, right at the base of Washington Blvd., walkable to downtown and the Q line train. The people mover wasn’t working during our stay but I think the station for that is nearby. Thank you for a nice stay, Sonder!

The view was great of the city. We love having a living room and bedrooms. Something had been spilled by/under the couch and was never cleaned up. The pullout couch had food in it when we pulled it out. Things were a little dated or well-used, but overall, for the price and convenience, it was fine.
