Convenient location close to airport
Clontarf Castle was a fun way to end our Ireland trip. It was located close to the airport. My only complaint is that compared to other 'castle hotels' some of the rooms resembled typical bland hotel rooms (our room was an upgrade but our travel companions had a very basic room). The lobby can by loud when the hotel is busy. All in all I would 100% stay here again.

The Clontarf Castle Hotel was so helpful. I had arrived very early in the morning and the front desk staff was kind enough to let me check in at 6am and go into an open room so I could get some sleep before business meetings started for the day. It was very thoughtful! Also, it had just been decorated for the holidays and it looked lovely!

We had an incredible experience staying at this hotel. The breakfast, staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and ambience was outstanding. Even the food and drinks were beyond our expectations; which are very high to begin with! Every question answered with the utmost courtesy and kindness. We highly recommend this hotel and wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else when/if we return to Ireland. I miss it already. Well done and thank you!

Amazing Castle
This was our first time to Ireland and the UK. One of the things we learned were the beds are different than the USA. The room we booked had two twins pushed together, and they were so comfortable compared to the Chain hotels we stayed in the rest of our travels. The restaurants are amazing, service was fast and the food was very good.

Why NOT stay in a castle while in Ireland? Although this property has all the modern amenities, it's still a castle, and it's the most affordable of the castle hotels in the country. It's clean, quiet, and so so pretty! The staff is very friendly. Even though we only stayed 1 night and had to leave very early to catch a flight, we were very pleased about our stay. I would have liked to stay longer to experience some of the amenities like the restaurant, bar, and breakfast, but maybe next time.
