Property assigned us to a first floor room, which was fine for first night. Nights 2,3,4 management assigned room above to a herd of antsy elephants. Reported noise to Office & was told all rooms are booked & that new carpets had been installed- resulting in elephant cacophony. Apparently, the thing to do is to request a 2nd Floor room!

You may see a lot of reviews regarding the decor of the rooms...look at the pics; it's...eclectic. Gaudy pops up in many reviews. But bottom line is that the rooms, particularly any 2nd floor ones, have a nice deck and spectacular views. And it is steps away from the ocean

The rooms are absolutely beautiful. With jetted tubs, robes & comfy beds. The views are breathtaking and you can walk out onto rhe cliffs and beaches right outside your room. Shopping, eating, and other beaches are just a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive. The hotel was short staffed and we never fealt that. They were ao friendly and welcoming.

We really enjoyed most everything about this property with the exception of the toilet. That was the smallest shortest toilet ever! If they could just renovate the toilets, I would’ve given the establishment five stars. Overall we really enjoyed our stay there!

We love the view and the short walk to the beach. This was the first time we stayed downstairs and the guests up stairs were noisy early in the morning, that was a bummer.

The Ocean View Lodge is located just north of Fort Bragg right on the ocean 🌊. It’s a beautiful view to watch the waves crashing and the sunset 🌅.

Strange but Nice
We were happy with the motel in general. It had easy parking, a good location, and was very clean. Not complaining, but it had the strangest furniture laid out in the most unusable way possible. Who decorates in French Provincial on the rustic California coast? It looked like someone hit up Liberace’s estate sale. The furniture was laid out as impracticality as possible. For example the chairs faced away from the ocean view and at a right angle to the table, making it unusable to eat on. There was a small golden day bed that faced a stairway. No one would actually sit there. Strange but overall the motel was a good deal with a great view. Get an upstairs room or everyone on the walking path along the coast can see into your room.

The room and location was great! Would have gotten 5 stars if we had a coffee maker that worked even after the 2nd machine was given to me to replace myselfand itndidnt work. Hvac was complicated with no details provided.
