Will definitely book again
The complex is small and quiet, beautiful pool, courtyard and fountain. A Spanish villa retreat. Great location away from the beach noise but just a short walk. The hotel group this location belongs to (North Village) has several restaurants in the area, a wine and garden spot for the evenings, a store, a fantastic breakfast coffee/bakery restaurant and a juice/smoothie bar. Room was great (King deluxe) staff was friendly and attentive.

The only drawback was the stopper in the bathroom sink would not stay open. I had to use a toothpick to keep it open enough for the water to drain.

Room was clean and people were nice. A few items needed to be repaired (see pictures) and the pool filter didn’t appear to be running as the water level was a bit low which left some floaters. That said the price was fair and the bed comfortable.

Quaint. Loved the courtyard/pool area. We stayed there a couple times. First room 1103 was very small and the bathroom faucet fell off, flooding our bathroom rendering the water unusable. When we got a second room it was great 1106. After several attempts to get reimbursed for the one night of no bathroom or water usage by front office failed, the headquarters called and promptly gave us a discount for that night.

Resort just not like in the past
Attention to details is lacking. The staff is overwhelmed. They forget everything. I requested a blanket. It should be a simple request. It never showed up. For the price you pay they need to provide some service. The place is not cheap for what you receive. I go yearly and this year things looked run down . Is this resort struggling? Resurface the pools, faucets leak in kitchens, bathroom faucet stripped it only runs hot. Trees full of dead limbs ready to fall on people. I went to 4 or the resorts and all of them need touch ups. It’s a great place when everything works.

A hidden gem a few blocks from the beach.
Check-in at another property nearby was easy and fast. We were provided with a map of properties where we could enjoy their amenities. We were informed about local eateries. We were give beach towels to use. Overall it was a great experience post cruise. We would stay at La Casa again.

Many things need upgrading at the property like non working hairdryer from 1970’s. Bathroom sink , and bathroom windows broken seals , could use new vanities and closet re-doing . Basically livable but super old property. Some things were upgraded, but do not match the old stuff.
