A charming gravel walkway leads up to the front door which opens into the warm and stylish cottage for rent in Fredericksburg, TX known as Backstreet Bungalow. This quaint, cozy getaway offers a wonderful farmhouse feel; conveniently located within the neighborhood life of Fredericksburg. Its vibrant cream and brown pastel interiors complement the rich, darker tones of the doors, floors, and antique wooden furniture. The master suite downstairs is luxurious, with an en-suite Hollywood style bathroom providing two separate sink areas, plus it has its own private reading/sitting nook. Guests can relax and read a good book, watch television in the master bedroom or the 55" TV in the living room, or wander outdoors to the private hot tub in the backyard. The back garden which also has a fire-pit, comfortable sitting area and a gas grill to barbecue, is surrounded by beautiful, established trees and shrubs which enhance the privacy and cozy atmosphere the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee with the neighborhood rooster crowing good morning! Great Place Except for the Roosters

My mom and I stayed here for a girls trip and loved the house! It was clean and the check-in instructions were easy to follow. The only negative is the neighbors roosters. I was sleeping in the loft and was woken up at 4am because of them. However, when sleeping in the bedroom downstairs their noise is more muted. I would recommend sleeping in the bedroom and not the loft if you are wanting to sleep in past 4am. The house was about a 3 minute drive from downtown but it was not walkable. The backyard was clean and lovely and we sat outside to enjoy the nights! We enjoyed our stay but the rooster was not a fun neighbor.

Love this quaint charming property

This was a quit relaxing place that my wife and I enjoyed. We took advantage of the backyard and hot tub to relax. It was close to downtown and Enchanted Rock. The inside was quaint and just what we needed, and we even cooked dinner one night to take a break from eating out, everything was there to make an enjoyable dinner. The bed was comfortable and I rested well. People have commented about the rooster behind the property, but you cannot hear it in the bedroom while sleeping. We highly recommend you to stay here and we will be back again soon! Very clean with the amenities.

The house was lovely. Everything from the hot tub to the fire pit was perfect. There were 3 of us going and then one couldn’t make it. They refused to refund me the difference which always irks me. If I had called when we got there and said we had an extra person staying I know they would not have hesotated to charge me the extra fee. I also thought it was closer to the main drag but it was too far to walk but parking was easy to find so it was not an issue. I would definitely rent again only next time will just say two are coming.

Needs upgrade

This place was a cute, cozy stay. Close to Main Street. It needs a few upgrades It definitely needs a TV remote (that way to use) that works in the bedroom.TV in the living room. The top half is black. No full mirror. The hot tub was kind old only one speed for the bubbles. The fire pit we could not get on.

Daughters 21st b day trip

House was cute and clean. Biggest problem was the rooster at the house behind us. At 4:30-7a he hollers relentlessly. I get up at 5am M-F, I certainly do not want to get up at 5 on my vacation. So I would not recommend the house to anyone I know for that reason.

Run-Down, NOT "Rustic"

Online photos & description were not accurate. Property was run-down, in disrepair, dirty, broken/missing light bulbs, leaking barely-running shower, and bugs. In fact, the only thing that worked well was the A/C. Absolute Charm didn't come to fix the shower when asked, were barely interested in correcting the problem and refused to offer a partial discount when we left early. They tired to blame it on us for not complaining sooner. DO NOT STAY THERE.

Fredericksburg for 4 nights

We loved the Backyard Bungalow. It was a very quaint and well equipped cottage that suited our purposes perfectly. From breakfast at the kitchen table to reading in the evening. We enjoyed sitting int the backyard when the weather permitted and used the gas fire pit a couple of times. We would stay here again. The location was convenient to everything.

Great Place!

Great cottage just a touch (0.9) under a mile from the main strip. The hot tub was awesome. There is a grill and a fire pit, but we didn't get time to use either. 2nd bed is an upstairs loft. The driveway is a little tight if you have a suv/truck, but if that's my biggest complaint, I'd say we did just fine!!

The location of the property is great. Actual property is a bit more dated and older than the photos allude, but overall the property is a great option for a quiet stay in Fredericksburg.

Great comfortable stay. House was nice and exactly as described. No issues for my wife and I. Only possible issue was that the doggy door did not have a cover so it was open for something to enter. We just put something in front to block it. Other than that, it was a great stay

Well!! the hot tub is advertised but the filter appears not to have been changed for years . The hot tub was usable and gross. The owner or manager has simply not taken care of other basis maintenance matters. The price was extremely high for this subpar property

Had a wonderful time and loved the place! Clean and great location! The only thing we (girls) would have liked to have would be a full body mirror! Other than that it had everything we could possibly need! Will definitely stay again when coming back!

Fabulous property

This is an adorable and cozy bungalow. All amenities were great and comfortable and very close to main street without the noise. The only issue encountered was that the neighbors behind the bungalow had chickens and a rooster and the rooster crowed from 5AM to 8AM. The local management company was notified and was suggested that they report the issue to the Fredericksburg authorities since there is a strict noise ordinance. If you are a sound sleeper, it is great!

Nice and Cozy

This bungalow was perfect for an anniversary weekend in Fredericksburg. It is a little small so best for couples or families with small children. Hot tub was awesome way to relax after a long day adventuring in the vineyards.
