We had a balcony over looking the ocean. It was clean, it was a suite. Lots of furniture, desk, soft comfortable beds. I loved the outdoor hot tub in December, it was hot and amazing. The breakfast was very good. It was close to restaurants, pharmacy and grocery store.

This property was an incredibly good deal. The room was roomy and the view was nice. The only complaint would be the dealings with the front desk. Like other reviewers have said, you felt you were “putting them out” when checking in and checking out. It would have been nice to have a somewhat friendliness to them.

the lobby looks great when u get to the rooms the carpets were filthy in the hall the elevagtor smelled horrible broken furniture staff at desk acted as though we were an inconvience when asked for coffee and the breakfast is not free

Nah...
We got in fairly late, ready to hit the hay. The guy at the front was friendly enough, no complaints. As soon as we walk into the room we were greeted by 3 itty bitty roaches scurrying across the floor, and one dancing in the restroom. Tired and annoyed we head on back down to get another room. Suprised, the guy gave us another room on a higher floor. We had higher expectations than we should have, this room had a big ol roach asking why we cam into HIS room. Third round is a charm? Our next room had a few glimmers of nasiness, like an eyelash, a small pile of something by the nightstand, but no roaches YET. We settle in and go to sleep. I had to go down to the car and when I came back, boom, another roach, but the little one was asleep so we cut the A/C up and barley slept a wink. Do with this information as you will.

We spent one night there before our cruise out of Galveston and the morning of our cruise, very early, the electricity went out. We were on the fifth floor and had to walk up and down 5 floors for breakfast and then drag all of our luggage down 5 floors so we could make our cruise. After the cruise, we went back to the same hotel, I requested a room on the 2nd floor (just in case) we planned to stay for 3 more days. The electricity went out again!!! WHY DOESN'T THIS PROPERTY HAVE A GENERATOR??? Every other hotel I have ever stayed in does! I will never stay in another Best Western hotel again because of this experience.
