trouble contacting the property manager
There were issues. The smoke alarm beeped / chirped from the time we arrived until it stopped (battery died?) making sleep a bit difficult as it was mounted high on a ceiling betwwen two of the three bedrooms. The link supplied to contact the property manager would not work. Vrbo could not help as they did not know the property manager info. Marred an otherwise nice stay

Our Fall Getaway
My husband and two children stayed at this cabin for a few days to experience our taste of fall. It's conveniently located just a few miles from the city, but distant enough to feel secluded. We thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace, hot tub and game room that got enormous use. The cabin is cute and cozy inside. As others mentioned, the driveway is steep but manageable. We would absolutely recommend you stay here!

Nice property, great location
Overall property was very nice and worked well for our family of 4. Game room downstairs was used pretty much everyday, the tables weren’t exactly professional quality, but neither were we so they still worked for family entertainment. Location of the house could not be better. Out of town, but still close enough for quick access to town activities. There is a large black bear that is very comfortable around people. The bear came down the hill within 3 minutes of us arriving and our trunk was still open. The bear was not deterred by us yelling from the balcony, and found it’s way to our car but did no damage. It does grab the door handles with its mouth to try to open, so be sure to close and lock up when your car is unattended. The same bear seemed to come each day, so be alert. We could always hear it coming down the hill, so there was time to get to a safe location before we felt in danger. The driveway is very steep with a very sharp turn halfway up, so be prepared for that. We managed to make it up to the top with an AWD Cadillac sedan, so it’s not impossible, even in a car. Property owner was very responsive with any messages to him, zero complaints there. Overall, the property is great for a family, and the location couldn’t be better. I would definitely recommend this property!

Great mountain cabin
We loved staying at this cabin! The driveway is a bit tedious to maneuver in a loaded mini van but a higher sitting SUV or truck wouldn't have any issues. Beautiful sounds of the brook below was so relaxing. I would stay here again.

Great Location
This was a great place to stay and the location was awesome. The only complaint I would have (and easy fix) was the trash in the yard attracted bears. We would get up in the morning with bears at the door and steps. Now this was not bad but you couldn't leave with them their. Yes I would stay there again. The staff was very friendly that was there cleaning.

Property was OK
Good: property is located near the park entrance, also has access to the bypass for alternate ways around Gatlinburg. Convenience store is about 200 yds away; has good pizza, wings, adult beverages and other necessities. Amenities were adequate for 6 people. Games in the basement were good for kids, air hockey and football is falling apart but serviceable. Hot tub worked great and seemed clean. Bad: inside of house is dusty and in a condition that would be unacceptable if my house cleaner did the job. Cleaning fee could be better utilized for sure. Spider webs and dust on decor, lights, corners and stairs. Ceiling is covered in dust webs. Beds are very soft, which is personal preference. Outside of property had trash all over the place as if bears had gotten into the trash and it hadn’t been cleaned up. This is exactly what happened. More on this. Stairs on deck need better lighting as the motion light only lights up when you are halfway up or down. In the dark the second half is dark. Driveway is tougher than described. It’s doable but you need to be confident. My wife is a good driver and wanted nothing to do with it. We stayed a week and trash was never collected. I may have missed something on what to do here, but there wasn’t enough space in the bear cage for a weeks worth of trash from 4 adults and 2 kids. It was left inside so the bears wouldn’t get it. Notes: shortly after arrival a bear showed up eating trash and putting paws all over the trucks. He wasn’t afraid of humans at all and came from under the deck. We were able to scare him Away with a slingshot eventually. This is a dangerous bear. It is nice to see bears. It’s dangerous when they lose their fear of humans. This one was comfortable with a large man screaming at it from under 10 feet away. Owner was contacted regarding issues. Denied knowledge of trash being all over property. If the driveway camera works then you should see the garbage. It is also all around the property and not a new occurrence as trash is clearly old. Over all the property serves well to allow us to enjoy the outdoors and surrounding area. It is 100% a rental property. The adjacent property seems to be owned by the same owner, and the staff came to turn it over while we were there. So it does get cleaned but not to the level I would accept. We stay in several of these types of places a year all over and this one is average.

Spacious, clean, close to everything!
Our family of 5 enjoyed a very nice stay at this comfy mountain cabin. The interior was spacious and we enjoyed the hot tub and the game room. The view was nice and the area was quiet and peaceful. We visited in mid March and although we didn’t see any bears we were lucky to see snow flurries during the week. We hosted a dinner one night and there was plenty of dining room for 6 adults and 9 kids. The WiFi was fast and worked consistently. The gas fireplace was easy to use and heated up the upstairs area nicely. The TVs all worked great and it was nice to be able to connect to Netflix and other online providers. The upstairs bed was not the most comfortable but others may be just fine with it. There is a small bookshelf with an eclectic mixture of reading materials, games, and DVDs. Recommendations: Bring your own: toilet paper, laundry detergent, can opener, ice cream scoop, extra blankets. There is no garbage disposal, stopper for the downstairs bath, or laundry baskets. The washer and dryer worked great and there were plenty of dishes and appliances in the kitchen. Be careful opening the outdoor trash bin. It is secured to keep the wildlife out, but the lock was broken and secured with a clasp that holds a very strong spring-loaded door to the enclosure. We were surprised by the force with which it opened the first time and if you park too close and it springs out too fast without any resistance it could easily dent your car door. So just hold it closed with your other hand when you open it the first time and you'll be fine. The long, steep driveway is intimidating, especially if you arrive on a rainy night and are from somewhere flat (like Florida). However, it's worth the climb to have a better view of the mountains. There are two inclines: a very long and steep leg and then a shorter but equally steep leg going the opposite direction. Driveway Tip: Pull all the way up the first incline, then back up the second one. Our AWD drive vehicle had trouble making the sharp turn needed to go forward up both without the tires spinning. The owner Joe was very responsive and answered several questions quickly and helpfully. We did not experience any problems during our stay but based on our communications with Joe we feel like he would have effectively addressed anything that came up. Overall we were very happy with the accommodations and enjoyed a very nice stay for our Gatlinburg adventures.

Comfortable and spacious
The cabin is well stocked and spacious. Loved the game room downstairs. The driveway is challenging but we became pros after the second time. The stairs to the cabin were not a problem either. We had to communicate with Joe, the owner, and he responded promptly. The property is probably not the best for toddlers if they want to be outside. There's not much space for them to play, and the driveway is very steep. The bear comes in the morning and at dusk...likes to check out the property. It did leave it's paw prints on our vehicle but since it was locked, the bear just moved on. Enjoyed our stay a lot!

Great place to stay!
The property was clean, fully stocked with utensils and pots and pans in the kitchen, 2 coffee pots, linens for the beds, and towels for the bathroom. We had so much fun playing games downstairs. The hot tub was nice after a long day of excursions. The only thing I need to mention is that the driveway is scary! My husband got the van stuck and we ended up having to get out and push.

Super nice stay
Absolutely beautiful cabin in the most convenient location in Gatlinburg, 5-10 minute drive to downtown Gatlinburg as well! Super nice stay, we loved the game room downstairs and the hot-tub. Spacious living/dining room with a beautiful kitchen; the hot-tub outside was wonderful as well. I would recommend bringing dvd’s of your own if you plan on staying in the master suite downstairs because it is not a smart tv like the two upstairs and only plays DVDS. I would also recommend not using both showers at once as the water does get cold in the downstairs one quite quickly. Biggest recommendation is locking your cars and making sure no food is left in them because my friend’s truck bed did get ripped into by the bear that seemed to want his empty cooler very badly, but other than that we never saw the bear. Driveway is very intimidating especially if you have a small sedan like I did, much easier to go down than up. Overall, the stay was amazing and the property couldn't have been more perfectly located or spacious than what it was! Thank you Joe!!

Terrific spot close to everything
This was a great location to stay for our Smokey Mountain holiday vacation. The cabin had lots of space and diversions - including all the games and smart TVs in each room (nice to be able to log into our own streaming services!). The fully stocked kitchen made it easy to prep meals. We loved the hot tub every night after long hikes in the park. The fireplace was also nice. The driveway was intimidating, but we managed in an AWD Highlander. We recommend arriving at the cabin in the daylight - our first time navigating was made more challenging because it was dark! One thing we noticed driving around - all the driveways seem to be like this in the area - some are far worse, too. At least this driveway has mirrors mounted a the road to improve visibility. There is a convenient little general store only 0.2 mile down the hill - an easy walk (though traffic flies by a bit fast for comfort - we walked just off the road). Note - there are a lot of stairs here. Not an issue for us, but be aware that getting into the property is a full flight of stairs, then you enter to the game room level, it is another flight of stairs to get to the main living area.
