Fabulous location. Clean rooms. Continental breakfast was lacking. I expect more than granola bars & coffee. There was a toaster, but nothing to put in the toaster. No other beverages other than coffee.

This is a great spot to stay. Nothing beats falling asleep to the sound of waves crashing. The room was very clean and the staff was super friendly. I will definitely be staying here again!

Managed to stay on hottest days of the year, and while the fan helped, cross ventilation would have helped tremendously. Perhaps screen doors on western facade? Staff is friendly and very accommodating. Location perfect for avoiding chi-chi tourist towns but still enjoy the extraordinary views. Recommend with caveat that exterior ready for painting or update. Room was lovely.

Cliff Dwellers Hotel needs upgrades.

Scenery was fantastic. People were friendly. Hotel was in need of upgrades. No AC was an issue. Shower head was too low. Temperature control of water war erratic and scalding at times.

The property was perfect for our short vacation. I enjoyed the balcony and view of lake Superior. All rooms had an amazing view of the lake. It had delicious dining options that were just a few miles away.

Couple day getaway.

I was looking for a quiet place to stay, away from all the hustle and bustle, and by the water. The Cliff Dweller was perfect! The room was cute, cozy and clean with a knotty pine, cabin feel. Bedding was bright white, clean and fresh. The view from the balcony got lots of my time and Onion Falls, a short hike from the hotel, was an added bonus. I have already referred a few friends and will be back!

What you will get at this property: Very nice front desk staff, a dated but disinfected room, potentially a view of Lake Superior (room 107 was only a view of trees), stale muffins for breakfast, and great proximity to nearby places. What you will not get: Fresh coffee bags in room (we got ripped bags from prior tenants), an iron in the room, a working bathroom tub drain and fan, real Continental breakfast, replenished box of Kleenex (ours was empty after two Kleenex were pulled), cable TV, or housecleaning service. This is a great location but bare bones (definitely more expensive than it should be).

Great Value. Friendly Service.

Incredible view! Staff was VERY friendly and helpful. Clean room. Comfortable common area. Steps were a bit intimidating carrying items up and down. Great value and friendly service!

Absolutely beautiful view! Loved being in the middle of our North Shore drive. Clean, cozy, quiet. Lexi is the BEST! She helped us even after the lobby was closed. Will definitely stay here again.
