This dog-friendly home is located directly on the snowmobile/ATV trails, and is within walking distance of downtown's restaurants, shops, and the nearby tennis/basketball courts! Also across the street is a public sandy beach. Just a short drive away, you'll find the local grocery store as well as a gift/sporting store at Indian Hill for some souvenirs.
Moosehead Lake, which measures 25 miles by 40 miles, is the largest lake in the Northeast and the largest lake fully contained in one state with over 400 miles of shoreline. The lake, once home to various Native American tribes, boasts over 80 islands - one of which includes Mt. Kineo, which is climbable with breathtaking views. Fishing is abundant for anglers in search of an amazing year-round experience. You can take a ride on the Katahdin for an awe-inspiring tour of the lake or take a seaplane ride for additional spectacular views. Miles and miles of trails envelop the area for skiers, hikers, and ATV and snowmobile riders; the less adventurous can enjoy the many shops and museums unique to the area and the region. Many restaurants, some with lake views, provide delicious dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
