The hotel was clean, organized and the staff was nice. I wish they had been a little more helpful when we asked questions about the area. I also wish the beds didn't creak as much. It's a very nice touch to have breakfast included every day. I also likes that there was a 24-hour tea and coffee station.

Everything was clean, and breakfast was quite good. It was a busy time when we stayed and had to wait a long time for the elevator. For such a big property with so many rooms, we were surprised there were only 2 elevators.

All good except room smelled like a dog. Hard to stay there breathing dog smell. I suggest you keep dogs on a different floor than non-dog guests.

The location was in heart of city and in walking distance to the waterfront and many tourist spots if you're able to walk for 15-30minutes and on some steep sidewalks. They had one day where internet/tv wasn't working. The gym is ok but has some old/broken equipment. The pool is ok but small. Breakfast was very good and lots of options. Many restaurants in walking distance. We did enjoy our stay in Halifax.

Need some improvements
Getting the elevator was a problem. Two slow elevators are not enough. Also upon checking in, the person was not accommodating and her manager went above and beyond by double checking to find a room. The breakfast included a variety of foods and there was ample seating.

It looks like everything is worn out here;very old fashioned! We did not get that room which we paid for.ww requested to change our room ;but they did not. As soon as we entered our room;washroom had very bad urine smell! Fridge was not working and when we asked them they changed the fridge. There was no microwave no clock at all.ww requested for microwave and they brought it in our room all dirty inside.their was curry or sauce was sticked around the microwave and at the front a lot of hands spots. It looks like it was just brought in our room dirty. So we were very disappointed with our stay!it was looked like we are staying in a worn out hostel not hotel!! Thanks Gurmeet

This hotel advertises as being 2 minutes from the Halifax waterfront - doesn't say it's 2 minutes *by car* not walking, and doesn't note that it's near the top of an *extremely* steep hill, which is very difficult for some people to navigate. Also, while breakfast is included (and is plentiful), there is no dining room/restaurant associated with the hotel, a problem when we arrived quite late to check in. On the plus side, the room was very comfortable and well-appointed, but I would not stay there again.
