I recently rented a property on VRBO for a month to accommodate myself and my workers. The listing boasted amenities such as a washer and dryer, which was a crucial feature for our stay. However, upon arrival, we were shocked to find that the washer and dryer were locked and inaccessible. When I reached out to the host, I was met with the disappointing response that we were not permitted to use them.
Furthermore, the condition of the property was far from what was depicted in the photos. The floors were rotten, the baseboards were decaying, and overall, the place was in a state of disrepair. It was evident that the photos were misleading, and the actual condition of the property was unacceptable.
To add insult to injury, when I attempted to seek assistance from VRBO's customer service, I was met with nothing but frustration. Each time I called, I was placed on hold for an extended period, only to be abruptly hung up on after 30 minutes. This happened not once, but three times, leaving me feeling utterly disregarded as a customer.
In conclusion, I cannot in good conscience recommend this property to anyone considering a stay through VRBO. The misleading advertisement, coupled with the lack of accessible amenities and abysmal customer service, made for a thoroughly disappointing experience. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for your accommodations.
