This hotel was once a great option, but it now appears outdated and poorly maintained. The staff lacks proper training and is not particularly courteous. On the positive side, the food is good, and the private beach remains excellent.

The views and architecture are fantastic. Staff were friendly and responsive. My main criticism is that the pillows on the beds were like rocks and it was very difficult to sleep. They should provide softer pillows for those who don't sleep on their back with their head raised. I will not return without my own pillow or knowing there are better pillows in the hotel

We had an amazing three week stay at Las Brisas Ixtapa! Every room has an ocean view - we had an incredible view from our room on the 21st floor (Room 2117). Our King size bed was very comfortable. The day bed was a very nice place for naps. The hammock and the two chairs on our balcony were perfect. The housecleaning was exceptional. All the staff were amazing from Esmerelda in the breakfast and dinner buffet to Fabian in the Italian and Mexican specialty restaurants to Victor the lifeguard (beach and pool) to Leslie the concierge. Our favourite place to eat was Portafino. We loved swimming in the ocean and riding the waves. Our walks to Ixtapa and taxis to Zihua were wonderful. We can't wait to go back. Las Brisas will be our first choice when we do!

We had the all inclusive plan. The drinks were not good, there were only two beer options and they tasted like they were watered down. The other drinks all had weird tastes! We had dinner at one of the a la carte restaurants and half of the menu was not included in the all inclusive plan. There were 3 a la carte restaurants and two were closed on the same day. The buffets were basically the same every day. The mini bar in our room was empty, nothing was included! Booze was free but I had to pay for a bottle of water. The pool area was not large enough for such a large resort. The property is dated and dark. There are a LOT of stairs and it’s a long trek to get to the pool and the beach. The elevator to the beach was not working the whole time we were there. Definitely would not recommend.

Nice upscale property. Nice weather but humid in November About 5 miles from Zihua and 3 miles from Ixtapa centro. Lot of walking down and up from the private beach and the swimming pools to the rooms. Beach elevator been down for few month. No hot tubs except in upgraded rooms. Far from town. Can’t walk it, need to take taxi. One way cost between $5-$8. They have buffet and 3 other private restaurants on the property. Meal per person about $22. Check buffet prices and what is included with the hotel. They do offer Mexican food in buffet. Great service from staff. And you can exchange money there with good rates.

We purchase the all inclusive package which was a waste of money. They only had 2 restaurants to dine in plus the buffet area. You were allowed to dine in for every two nights of stay, even though you paid for all inclusive. There was no entertainment, no bars where you can just go sit and have a drink. In the dine in restaurants your choices were pretty limited because half of the menu was for you to purchase and not part of the all inclusive. The drinks on the all inclusive were very limited as well. The staff was friendly and kind the place was clean and had great views.

We have stayed at this resort several times over the years and it is one of our favourite places. The setting is beautiful and the beach and the sunset views from each room are hard to beat! The all inclusive system includes a need to sign a “bill”for each meal which seems unnecessary. The resort is great for people who love to walk. Not great for less mobile visitors. The lower elevator up from the beach was out of order which made for more stair climbing.
